We open to footage from the closing moments of AEW WrestleDream and the aftermath, while Jon Moxley talks about his vision for the company with Yuta and Marina in the back of a pickup truck. Mox is tired of the egos in AEW, and he is ready to burn down the forest to start a new. His group can see a better future, and they will see it happens. If you don’t like what they have in mind, you’d better run while you still can. What is the need to know in AEW? What is the new paradigm? It’s simple…you work for Mox now.

In-Ring: Adam Cole, MJF

With that, we head to ringside as Adam Cole arrives to a big pop from the San Jose crowd. Adam Cole and his boom are back, bay bay, and the crowd chants his name as Cole asks who’s ready for story time with Adam Cole!

He thanks the Undisputed Kingdom for their offer but says he needs to handle this on his own, addressing briefly the year-long road to recovery before wanting to talk about the worst person in the world…MJF. Cole talks about the lack of trust from a man that was meant to be his friend, because Adam is a lot of things…but stupid is not one of them, and anyone who truly trusts MJF is stupid.

Cole goes on to talk about the “real MJF,” the man who pretends to care about anyone but himself. According to Adam, MJF is fake from head to toe, and a scared, insecure little boy…and a phony. MJF can’t be trusted, and everyone in the locker room is nodding and smiling in agreement.

We have the best professional wrestlers in the world, as well as a young group of guys that will carry this company forward…and it makes Adam sick to imagine these guys looking at MJF as a path of success to follow, when it’s just a path to loneliness. MJF thinks he’s special, he thinks he’s the best there’s ever been, but with every fiber of being Adam says he hates MJF. He hates having to share the same space with him, saying we don’t need to wait any longer…let’s fight here in San Jose!

MJF’s music hits as Cole readies himself for a fight…but MJF is nowhere to be seen. The crowd boos as we get the man himself on the screen, talking about what he has gained and lost in this business. The biggest loss has been trust, realizing just how many snakes are in the grass until Adam Cole came around. MJF came to trust him, and the betrayal that followed made MJF what he is today.

Max goes on to address how he will retaliate, and when he does Adam can thank him later. Cole responds by saying MJF knows him better than anyone, so he should know that he can run but he can’t hide. With every fiber of his being he will get back at MJF.

Cole drops the mic, making his way up the ramp in anger as we cut backstage.

Chris Jericho addresses the success of Terrifier 3 before addressing the “controversy” behind Mark Briscoe’s win. Jericho says he awaits Mark’s response to a rematch, as he promises to be as great a ROH World Champion as Jay Briscoe was. Thanks, Mark.

Backstage: Mark Briscoe, FTR

From there we cut to Renee getting a response from the champ himself, who says he can let most of what Jericho has said in one ear and out the other, but Jericho has once again let his brother’s name out his mouth…so it’s on! In the meantime, he’s showing support for his boys FTR for their tag match up next!

FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) vs. The Learning Tree (Brian Keith & Big Bill)

We start off with Cash and Bill, the latter wearing down Wheeler before tagging in Keith for some more damage. It doesn’t take long for the Redwood to tag back in however, keeping Cash isolated from Dax with a twisting side slam before we go to picture-in-picture.

Picture-in-Picture: Keith tags in to stay on the attack, keeping Cash at bay with a back elbow before tagging Bill back in. A big elbow drop gets the Redwood a nearfall before he brings Cash tot he corner to tag the Bad Apple in, and Keith follows with a front chancery until Wheeler fights back as we come back from break!

Cash takes the Bad Apple down before heading to the corner as Bill tags in…but a big boot from Big Bill misses as Dax gets the hot tag! Harwood goes after Keith who’s still in the ring, while also taking on Big Bill until the Redwood drops him to the canvas. Dax fights out of a piledriver attempt, allowing Wheeler to hit a cross body before knocking Keith off the apron. FTR looking for a Shatter Machine on Bill, but he fends off Wheeler before hitting a powerbomb on Harwood! Keith gets the tag and takes Dax down for a nearfall before Cash breaks it it. Cash gets sent outside, but not for long as he fends off the Redwood on the floor before tagging in to hit the Bad Apple with a Shatter Machine for the win!

Winner: FTR via Pinfall.

We see LFI watching on backstage as FTR celebrate the win…before The Outrunners make their way out to the ring to a big pop! The pair enter the ring, joining in a four-way flexing handshake before posing for the crowd.

Backstage: The Acclaimed, Billy Gunn, MVP, Shelton Benjamin

We cut backstage, where Billy Gunn talks about him and The Acclaimed heading to the gym before allowing his fellas to speak as he walks off to get the car ready. Bowens and Caster talk about their future plans now that they’ve picked up a win…but are interrupted by MVP and Shelton Benjamin, the former offering the team his business card. Bowens said they don’t need anything from MVP, but he just laughs at this before they walk away.

TBS Championship
Queen Aminata vs. Mercedes Mone (c)

The two go at it immediately, with Aminata getting the upper hand for a nearfall before the champ catches her with a nearfall of her own. Aminata responds to this with a fall away slam sending Moné toward the ropes…but can’t follow up as Kamille pulls the CEO out of harm’s way. Aminata fends off the Brickhouse, but is sent into the steps by Moné as we go to picture-in-picture.

Picture-in-Picture: Moné maintains control of the match as she drives a knee into the back of Aminata, but the challenger fights back to her feet before sending Mercedes to the corner to break the hold. Moné evades Aminata long enough to charge at the challenger in the corner now, taking her to the mat before the champ follows up with a snapmare and a leg lariat for a nearfall. Aminata gets to the ropes, but is pulled away by the champ for another close nearfall before following up with a dropkick and a modified chinlock to keep Aminata down as we come back from break!

Aminata goes for a double leg but is caught by the champ, who is intercepted in the corner for an air raid crash giving the Queen a nearfall. Both women up to their feet as Aminata hits a modified sunset flip for a nearfall, but Moné responds with a nearfall of her own before the challenger drops her to the canvas for the cover…but the champ kicks out!

Aminata cinches up the arms of the champ for a form of full nelson, spinning her around on the mat before the hold is broken…only for the Queen to connect with a suplex sending Moné toward the corner. Mercedes evades the challenger before driving her knees into the back of Aminata, locking in the Statement Maker to force her challenger to tap out!

Winner: Mercedes Mone via Submission to retain the TBS Championship.

Backstage: Private Party, The Young Bucks, Stokely Hathaway

We then go backstage, where Private Party have asked Young Bucks to be here to address a rematch for the tag titles. That doesn’t work for the Bucks, however, and they tell the Private Party that’s their last shot at the belts. They walk off as Stokely Hathaway scoffs at them for rejecting his offer before WrestleDream…before noting that Zay is a singles star anyway before he walks off. Zay and Quen look at each other, with Zay addressing what it might take as we cut to commercial.

Backstage: The Elite

We cut backstage, where The Elite wish their old friend Kenny Omega a happy birthday…mocking Kenny’s recent health scare with a nasty cake I’d sooner not describe here. It’s a rough segment as we cut back to ringside.

Trios Match
The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Rocky Romero, & Kyle O’Reilly) vs. The Elite (The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) & Kazuchika Okada)

The action is quick at the start, as Cassidy and Matthew go of before O’Reilly tags in to get involved. This leads to a double-team on Matthew before Okada tags in, and Romero gets a tag as well leading to the Conglomeration getting the upper hand on the outside, as we go to picture-in-picture.

Picture-in-Picture: The Elite regain control of the match, dropping all three of their opponents to the canvas before posing to mock them and the crowd. The Bucks go to work on Cassidy as Nicholas comes in just long enough for a leg drop before tagging the Rainmaker in for more damage. O’Reilly is back on the apron as he stares Okada down, but Okada brings Cassidy to the corner to keep him isolated as we come back from break!

Cassidy finally breaks away to get a tag to Kyle, but the Bucks rush in to keep him at bay. O’Reilly counters out of a Rainmaker lariat for a hanging guillotine, but Matthew breaks it up before Okada gets a nearfall. Rocky gets the tag and goes off on the Bucks in the corners of the ring, before fending off Okada for a DDT off the corner…only to be dropped to the mat with a tombstone piledriver by Okada!

Cassidy gets a tag as The Bucks get involved to no avail, before Cassidy and O’Reilly do a Stundog Millionaire into a high-low combination. Bucks are once again fended off by Cassidy, who looks ready for an Orange Punch before Wheeler Yuta comes rushing in with a running knee! The ref calls for the bell!

Winner: The Conglomeration via Disqualification.

The Elite want nothing to do with all this as Moxley and his crew come into the ring, going after the Conglomeration. Top Flight rush down to the ring to help, but are fought off while The Elite continue to just look on from the ramp while others rush down. Dark Order are beaten down by Mox and crew, setting up for Reynolds to be choked out against the ring post with a belt by Shafir.

Yuta and Claudio grab a set of steps to ram into Reynolds while Mox speaks into the microphone, saying anyone who is involved with AEW is under attack and calling all of this “the cost of doing business.” The group finally make their way through the crowd, leaving behind a pile of proverbial bodies as a few more wrestlers and officials come out to check on them.

Backstage: The Elite, Daniel Garcia, Private Party

We cut backstage as we try to get a word from The Elite, who insist they have nothing to do with all of that before Daniel Garcia and Private Party confront them about it. We get a brief situation between Perry and Garcia before The Elite ultimately walk off, leaving us with Garcia and Private Party agreeing to have each other’s backs.

Lio Rush vs. Shelton Benjamin

The two men circle the mat before going at it, with Rush getting an early advantage before Shelton takes control. Benjamin leaves the ring as Lio gets back to his feet, but Shelton fights back hard to bring Rush out of the ring for a big belly-to-belly suplex that sends the Man of the Hour flying as we go to picture-in-picture.

Picture-in-Picture: Shelton maintains control throughout, bringing Lio back into the ring for some technical prowess to wear down Rush before sending him into the corner and out of the ring as we go to a full commercial break. Thanks, TBS!

Back from break, Rush starts fighting back as he sends Benjamin to the outside for a big dive against the barricade. Shelton is brought back into the ring as Lio sets up for a frog splash…only for Benjamin to roll out of harm’s way, forcing Rush down hard. Rush escapes his grasp for a rollup before leaping up for a massive tornado DDT followed by the cover…but Shelton kicks out!

Rush heads to the top turnbuckle, but is intercepted by Benjamin who sends him down hard before staring Lio down. Rush struggles to his feet before Shelton sends him flying with a release German suplex, followed by a second one after some fighting by Rush. Benjamin hits a massive thrust kick that folds Lio up onto the canvas, sending him to the ropes for another massive slam before finally making the cover for the win!

Winner: Shelton Benjamin via Pinfall.

MVP enters the ring with a mic to run down Lio before complimenting him on trying, and then turning his attention to Swerve Strickland to tell him to reconsider. MVP is interrupted by a “Swerve’s House” chant to which he reminds them his house was burned down, before saying that Swerve needs to have another conversation with himself and the Standard of Excellence, Shelton Benjamin.

Backstage: Swerve Strickland, Prince Nana

Backstage, we hear from Swerve Strickland who responds to MVP’s offer by saying anytime, anywhere. He compares records before asking San Jose whose house? The crowd responds “Swerve’s House” as he and Nana walk away.

In-Ring: Don Callis Family, Brian Cage

Back at ringside, we find out from Tony Schiavone that a press conference has been called on by Don Callis, who arrives to the ring alongside Lance Archer and…Brian Cage? A curious development as Callis enters the ring. He talks about all the news surrounding the Don Callis before saying there are no real journalists in pro wrestling (hey, wait a second…) and then turning his attention to his recent acquisitions, noting that Lance Archer and Brian Cage are his choices to enter the tag division before welcoming Kyle Fletcher and the new AEW International Champion, Konosuke Takeshita.

Takeshita and Fletcher enter the ring, as Callis addresses the new champion being willing to defend the title across all corners of the globe. He allows the champ to speak as Takeshita tells anyone who wants the title to come and get it, before Callis gives the floor to Kyle Fletcher…who says he’s been hearing “Why Kyle why” all week before refusing to give a response. Callis ends things by saying that the Don Callis Family has never been stronger.

Backstage: “The Glamour” Mariah May, Anna Jay, Christopher Daniels

We cut backstage, where Mariah May addresses the lack of competition as her former opponents are off doing other things. She says AEW is where the best are afraid of the Glamour…but here comes Anna Jay to try and prove otherwise, getting into it with the champ before accidentally slapping Christopher Daniels as May sneaks away.

Backstage: Ricochet

Backstage, we hear from Ricochet who insists he has some unfinished business with Takeshita after what happened at WrestleDream. He offers an open challenge to anyone willing to face him at Collision, promising to remind everyone why he is out of this world.

Backstage: Blackpool Combat Club, Top Flight, Action Andretti, The Dark Order

We cut to the parking lot as we see BCC go at it with Top Flight and Dark Order before Mox and crew escape in their truck. Evil Uno and Top Flight cut a promo on Mox and the trios champs respectively, setting up matches for Collision in the process.

Jay White vs. Christian Cage

A slow start here as Cage seemingly evades locking up with Jay, leaving the ring before coming back in. We get a lock up before White sends Cage to the corner for a stomp, mocking the Patriarch before continuing the attack. The BBG encourage him as the Switchblade sends Cage into the corner, following up with an Indian Deathlock until Cage manages to get to the bottom rope for a break.

Jay argues with the ref as Nick Wayne brings a chair toward the ring, only to be fended off by the BBG…who get caught with the chair and ejected from ringside by the ref! Nick mocks them about this, turning his attention to Jay in the ring before he gets blindsided and dragged away by the BBG with his mom chasing after them as we go to picture-in-picture.

Picture-in-Picture: Cage takes advantage of the chaos, going after Jay as he sends him to the outside to regain control of the match before bringing the Switchblade back into the ring for a nearfall. Cage continues the beatdown, propping White against the ropes before dealing with the crowd and driving his boots into Jay’s back. Jay struggles to get away from the Patriarch as we come back from break…

…and fights back to his feet before Cage drops him to the mat! Cage drives his boot into the back of Jay’s neck, twisting the head before the Switchblade fights back to his feet once more…but Christian sends him to the outside! Cage follows White to the outside, but Jay manages to fight back before both men end up back in the ring.

They rise to their feet to trade strikes, until Jay catches Cage with a back body drop. Cage in the corner as White goes after him for some mounted punches with Christian’s turtleneck blocking his vision. Cage starts to fight back but is caught with a DDT by Jay for the cover, but the Patriarch kicks out. Jay gets a waistlock but Cage fights out of it, sending the Switchblade into the ropes to break free.

They end up on the apron, where Cage drops Jay with a reverse DDT onto the hardest part of the ring before getting back into it to send White into the corner. Cage sets up for a tornado DDT from the turnbuckle, driving Jay into the mat for a nearfall before Cage heads to the corner to set up for a spear…but Kip Sabian appears to intervene. We see someone running near the ring only to hide as Jay goes back after Cage, and we soon see that it’s Hangman Adam Page as Cage catches White on the top rope.

Cage slides back into the ring for a spear but gets caught with a uranage by White for a nearfall…only for Cage to counter out of a Blade Runner to hit the Killswitch! Cover by Cage…but Jay kicks out!

Cage gets caught with a flatliner by White, but fights off a German suplex in the corner…but to no avail as White hits a Saito suplex! Jay sends him across the ring before hitting a suplex that sends Christian into the corner, setting him up on the turnbuckle before Cage sends him away for a diving headbutt. Cover by Cage once again, but the Switchblade kicks out again.

Sabian hops on the apron to distract the ref as Jay counters a Killswitch into a Blade Runner attempt, only for Page to catch him with a Buckshot Lariat! Cage with a Killswitch puts Jay White down for the win in our main event.

Winner: Christian Cage via Pinfall.

Cage celebrates with his reminder to the fans that he still has a guaranteed shot at the AEW World Championship as we get a rundown of the week to come in AEW programming. Cage leaves up the ramp as we get a look at Jay White recovering before this chaotic episode of Dynamite comes to a close.
