Jon Moxley Declares War on AEW on Wednesday’s Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show at the SAP Center in San Jose, California featured Jon Moxley basically declaring war on AEW.

At the start of the show, a video aired featuring Moxley and his group leaving after their actions at this past Saturday’s AEW WrestleDream 2024 event. Moxley talked about his new vision for AEW and how he is tired of the egos in AEW and he is ready to burn down the forest to start a new. Moxley stated that his group can see a better future and they will all see it happen. Moxley then issued a warning stating that if you don’t like what they have in mind, you’d better run while you still can. Moxley stated “what is the need to know in AEW? What is the new paradigm? It’s simple…you work for Mox now.”

In a follow-up segment, Wheeler Yuta ran out during The Conglomeration’s Trios match against The Elite and attacked Orange Cassidy leading to the referee calling for the bell. This led to Moxley and the rest of his group coming out and attacked The Conglomeration as Top Flight & Action Andretti ran out trying to save The Conglomeration to no avail. As The Elite looked on from the stage over what was happening, The Dark Order ran out to try to save The Conglomeration, Top Flight, & Action Andretti also to no avail. Castagnoli took off Alex Reynolds’ belt and handed it to Marina Shafir who choked out Reynolds and Yuta & Castagnoli grabbed the steel steps and slammed it into him. Moxley grabbed a microphone and stated anyone who is involved with AEW is under attack and looked at Reynolds calling this “the cost of doing business.”

Adam Cole Explains Reasons for His Return & Issues with MJF

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Adam Cole explaining his reasons for his surprise return at this past Saturday’s AEW WrestleDream 2024 and his issues with MJF.

During the show, Cole came out to the ring and grabbed a microphone. Cole first briefly addressed why he didn’t have Undisputed Kingdom come out with him because he wants to handle this on his own and his year-long road to recovery. Cole then turned his attention towards MJF and stated that he wants to talk about the worst person in the world, MJF. Cole talked about the lack of trust from a man that was meant to be his friend and stated that Adam is a lot of things but stupid is not one of them and anyone who truly trusts MJF is stupid.

Cole then talked about the “real MJF” who he stated was a man who pretends to care about anyone but himself. Cole stated MJF is fake from head to toe and is a scared insecure little boy and a phony. Cole stated that MJF can’t be trusted and everyone in the locker room is nodding and smiling in agreement. Cole then talked about AEW’s locker room praising them for being the best professional wrestlers in the world and a young group of guys that will carry this company forward. Cole stated that it makes hm sick to imagine these guys looking at MJF as a path of success to follow when its just a path to loneliness. After some more insults directed at MJF, Cole issued a challenge for MJF to come out and them fight right here tonight in San Jose.

This led to MJF’s music playing and a video airing on the big screen showing MJF. MJF talked about what he has gained and lost in this business. MJF stated that the biggest lost has been trust and him realizing just how many snakes are in the grass until Cole came around. MJF stated that he came to trust Cole as a friend and the betrayal that followed made MJF what he is today. MJF then talked about how he will retaliate and when he does, Cole can thank him later.

This led to Cole responding back stating that MJF knows him better than anyone so he should know that he can run but he can not hide. Cole stated that with every fiber in his body, he will get back at MJF.

Brian Cage Joins Don Callis Family on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Brian Cage officially joining the Don Callis Family.

During the show, Tony Schiavone was standing in the ring and reluctantly introduced Don Callis for an impromptu press conference. This led to Callis coming out to the ring flanked by Cage and Lance Archer.

After insulting the wrestling media, Callis revealed that he made a deal to get Cage to join his group after Cage won the ROH World Television Championship. Callis then stated that he wants more gold for his group and claimed that Cage and Archer will be the next AEW World Tag Team Champions.

Callis then introduced Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita to come out next to the ring, which they proceeded to do. Takeshita went up to the microphone on the podium and stated that he will defend his newly won AEW International title everywhere around the world. Fletcher was the next to speak and stated that everyone wants to know why he betrayed Will Ospreay. Fletcher stated “too bad” since he wasn’t going to tell anyone.
