In-Ring: Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, The Bloodline

WWE SmackDown kicks off with Randy Orton’s music and he walks down to the ring. Orton welcomes everyone to SmackDown. He says he can count the amount of people that he trusts on one hand but Cody Rhodes is one of those people that he can trust. They have known each other for a very long time, they know each other very well and it was hard for him to see Cody Rhodes agree to team up with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood.

He says it doesn’t sit right with him and he needs an explanation. He asks Cody to come out and explain to him.

Cody’s music hits and out he comes to the ring. He stands in the ring and the fans chant “Cody”. He asks the fans and more specifically Randy Orton, what they want to talk about. Cody says Cody deserves an explanation and perhaps Cody looks a bit of a fool teaming with Roman Reigns but he asks Randy if he would rather be a fool or a coward.

He says it got tasked to him. He says Roman looked him in the eye and he gave him his word and he also gave him his word when he said he would do everything to keep the title and he did. He says he will take Roman for his word and the fans will also take him for his word. Cody says but of all people, he is standing with the legend killer, which is why he would hope that Orton would understand. Because the legend of this outlaw Bloodline has grown so much that it is time for it to be killed.

Cody tells Orton that he hopes it’s not a problem for him. Cody extends his hand and Orton shakes it. He tells Cody that he has no problem unless Cody makes it a problem.

Out comes Kevin Owens. All three men are in the ring and Solo Sikoa’s music hits and out comes Solo with The Bloodline. Solo says he is very happy that the three of them are in the ring because it saves him a lot of trouble.

Solo tells the fans to acknowledge him. Solo tells Cody that Roman gave COdy his word and he should trust him because he is going to need him. Because the two men in the ring with him won’t be any good for Cody. Solo asks how long Cody has been tryign to take out The Bloodline because every time he tries with Orton and Owens, they let him down. Solo says the reason Cody will team up with Roman Reigns is because every time he tries to take down The Bloodline with them, they let him down every time and to acknowledge that.

Owens says the only thing they have to acknowledge is that no one cares what Solo has to say. Owens says he wants to see what will happen in their tag team match. Cody tries to join the tag team match but Owens tells Cody that Cody has the Bloodline at Bad Blood and that he and Orton have The Bloodline tonight in a match. Kevin’s music hits and we cut to the Michael Cole and Corey Graves.

We see highlights of last week’s Women’s tag team match between Noami and Bayley against Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton.

We cut backstage and Nia is with Tiffany and she says they had the chance to get rid of Bayley and Naomi for good and tonight, they have a Women’s Number one contender match. Nia grabs Tiffany by the throat and Tiffany apologizes, telling her that she was hurt. Nia tells her that if this ends bad for herself, this will end very bad for Tiffany. She tells Tiffany that now they can be friends again and Nia walks away.

Backstage: Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton

We see highlights of last week’s Women’s tag team match between Noami and Bayley against Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton.

We cut backstage and Nia is with Tiffany and she says they had the chance to get rid of Bayley and Naomi for good and tonight, they have a Women’s Number one contender match. Nia grabs Tiffany by the throat and Tiffany apologizes, telling her that she was hurt. Nia tells her that if this ends bad for herself, this will end very bad for Tiffany. She tells Tiffany that now they can be friends again and Nia walks away.

Bayley vs. Naomi

The bell rings and we are under way. Naomi goes for a splash on Bayley but Bayley moves out of the way. Bayley goes for a right hand but pulls away at the last second. Naomi pushes Bayley and Bayley pushes her back. A shoulder tackle by Bayley and a clothesline. She goes for the cover but Naomi kicks out. Bayley with an arm drag take down. She goes for a knee to the face but Naomi moves out of the way and she lands a bulldog. A kick to the face by Naomi and Bayley falls to the outside of the ring. A corkscrew splash by Naomi onto Bayley on the outside.

Back from commercial, a back suplex by Bayley and Naomi rolls to the outside of the ring. Bayley with a suicide dive and she throws Naomi back in the ring. Bayley gets in the ring and Naomi hits her with the Rearview. She goes for the cover but Bayley kicks out. Right hands by Naomi and a kick to the side of the head. Naomi goes for the cover but Bayley kicks out. Naomi goes for a suplex but Bayley reverses it, throwing Naomi face first onto the mat. Bayley with a sunset flip in the corner. She goes for the cover but Naomi kicks out. Bayley goes for the Bayley to Belly but Naomi lands on her feet and she lands a bulldog into the second turnbuckle. Naomi climbs the top rope, jumps, Bayley moves out of the way, Naomi lands on her feet and Bayley hits her with the Bayley to Belly. Bayley climbs the top rope and she lands an elbow drop. Bayley goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: Bayley via Pinfall.

Naomi pats Bayley on the shoulder after the match and she leaves the ring.

Backstage: Andrade, LA Knight, Carmelo Hayes

We cut to Andrade and LA Knight backstage. Andrade tells LA Knight that last week, he beat him and he respects that. But where he comes from, a real man shakes someone’s hand to show respect and LA Knight lost his respect. In comes Carmelo Hayes who runs and hits LA Knight with a clothesline. He tells Andrade that he has some for him too.

Carmelo Hayes vs. Andrade

The bell rings and we are under way. A drop kick by Andrade and he goes for the double knees onto Hayes but Hayes moves out of the way. Hayes on the ring apron and he grabs Andrade. Right hands and kicks by Hayes. He runs towards Andrade but Andrade powerslams him on the ring apron.

Back from commercial, a head lock by Hayes but Andrade gets to his feet. Elbows by Andrade followed by a chop to the chest. He throws Hayes to the ropes, Hayes goes for a springboard clothesline, Andrade moves out of the way and Hayes lands on his feet. Both men with a double clothesline. Andrade runs to the ropes and goes for a cross body but Hayes hits him with the double knees. Andrade down in the corner and Hayes goes for the double knees but Andrade moves out of the way. Andrade with a flying clothesline. Andrade with the double knees in the corner. He goes for the cover but Hayes kicks out. Andrade goes for a DDT, Hayes gets out of it, he jumps off the second rope and lands a DDT. Hayes goes for the cover but Andrade kicks out.

Back from commercial, Andrade climbs the top rope but Hayes trips him up. Hayes climbs the second rope but Andrade with right hands and he knocks Hayes down. Andrade goes for the moon sault but Hayes moves out of the way, Andrade lands on his feet and he lands the moon sault. He goes for the cover but Hayes kicks out. Andrade to the ropes but Hayes with a cutter. He goes for the cover but Andrade kicks out. Hayes climbs the top rope but Andrade with right hands. Andrade climbs the top rope and he goes for a suplex but Hayes reverses it with a cutter. He goes for the cover but Andrade kicks out. Hayes climbs the top rope and jumps, Andrade moves out of the way, Hayes lands on his feet and Andrade with a spinning back elbow. Hayes falls to the outside of the ring and LA Knight’s music hits and out he comes. LA Knight gets on the ring apron and Hayes gets back in the ring, Andrade goes for a right hand, Hayes ducks and Andrade stops in front of LA Knight. Hayes rolls Andrade up and gets the pin.

Winner: Carmelo Hayes via Pinfall.

He leaves the ring running. Andrade and LA Knight are face to face, LA Knight extends his hand but Andrade leaves the ring.

Backstage: Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, Cody Rhodes

Randy Orton and Kevin Owens are sitting backstage and in comes Cody Rhodes. Cody tells Owens that he can feel it, he knows there is a problem and they need to talk. Owens says they do need to talk but not now. They can talk another time, Cody tells him they can talk now. Owens stands up and tells him not now. They will talk but not now and he tells Cody not to get involved in their match tonight. Owens leaves and Orton tells Cody that if The Bloodline get involved, it will be four against two and they can use his help. He says he will go talk to Owens.

Michin vs. Piper Niven

Chelsea Green comes down with a garbage can. The bell rings and we are under way. Michin with a drop kick. She runs to the ropes but Niven with a shoulder tackle. She runs towards Michin but Michin kicks her away. Michin runs towards Piper but Piper slams her down. She goes for a senton but Michin moves out of the way. Michin to the outside and Chelsea distracts her. Piper with a cannon ball off the ring apron onto Mihcin.

Back from commercial, Niven with a cannonball in the corner. She goes for the cover but Michin kicks out. She goes for a splash on Michin but Michin moves out of the way. Chops by Michin followed by kicks. Michin goes for a back suplex but Piper pushes her away. Michin goes for a crucifix cover but Niven kicks out. Michin runs to the ropes but Niven slams her down. She goe sfor the cover but Michin kicks out. Niven climbs the second rope and goes for a splash but Michin moves out of the way. Michin grabs Niven but Niven with a Michinoku driver. She goes for the cover but Michin kicks out. Chelsea places the garbage can next to the barricade. Niven grabs Michin but Michin with right hands. Michin climbs the top rope but Niven pushes her down and she falls onto the ring apron and to the outside. Chelsea gets on the ring apron and distracts the referee. Niven goes for a cannonball but Michin moves out of the way and Niven slams into the garbage can. Michin gets into the ring and she hits Chelsea with a right hand. Niven gets on the ring apron and Michin hits her with Meet the Feet. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: Michin via Pinfall.

A video for Bad Blood airs. Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill announce that they will host Bad Blood.

Backstage: Naomi, Bayley, Tiffany Stratton

Naomi is walking backstage and in comes Bayley. She tells Naomi that she is sorry about what happened earlier and Naomi says she is not sorry, she is happy she beat her. Naomi says Bayley deserves it and she is going to win the Championship at Bad Blood and they will have a rematch. They both hug and and Bayley walks away.

Tiffany tells Naomi that it looks like she won’t be facing Nia at Bad Blood, she will have the perfect view of Nia destroying Bayley. Naomi says since Nia will have a match, maybe her sidekick will get a beating. Naomi says she will talk to Nick Aldis to make the match.

Kevin Owens & Randy Orton vs. The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa)

The bell rings and we are under way. Owens and Jacob start the match. Owens with right hands but Jacob with a back elbow. Jacob to the ropes but Owens with a back elbow followed by a senton. Jacob gets to his feet and Solo asks him to tag him in. Solo is tagged in and Owens with right hands but Solo with a headbutt. Orton asks Owens to be tagged in and Orton is tagged in. Jacob extends his hand and he is tagged in. Right hands by Orton but Jacob with right hands. He clotheslines Orton over the top rope and to the outside. Jacob grabs Orton but Orton grabs Jacob and slams him onto the announce table. Fatu gets back up but Orton slams him on the announce table three more times. Solo grabs Orton but Orton throws him onto the announce table.

Back from commercial, Owens goes for the swanton off the top rope but Solo gets his knees up. Jacob is tagged in and they double team Owens. A standing diving headbutt from Jacob. He goes for the cover but Owens kicks out. Solo is tagged in and he throws Owens to the ropes but Owens with an atomic drop and a clothesline. Owens goes for the tag but Solo grabs Owens by the leg. Owens gets to his feet, he hits Solo and tags Orton in. Orton with a clothesline and a snap powerslam. Jacob gets in the ring and a snap powerslam by Orton. Solo gets up on the ring apron and Orton hits him with the DDT. Orton goes for the RKO but Jacob gets on the ring apron. Orton with a right hand onto Jacob and Solo hits Orton with a Samoan drop. Solo runs towards Orton but Orton lowers the top rope and Solo falls to the outside. Orton tags Owens and Owens on the outside lands a senton onto Jacob and Solo. He gets on the ring apron and lands a frog splash onto Jacob. Solo gets in the ring and Owens with a kick to the side of the head. Owens climbs the top rope and lands a senton. He goes for the cover but Solo kicks out.

Out run Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. They distract Owens and Solo hits him with the Spinning Solo. He goes for the cover but Owens kicks out. Cody’s music hits and out he comes. Cody with right hands and he hits Loa with a DDT. Cody throws Tonga into the ring and Orton hits him with an RKO. Jacob with a super kick onto Orton and a suicide dive onto Cody. Solo goes for the Samoan Spike but Owens ducks and he hits him with the Stunner. He goes for the cover but Loa throws Cody into the ring, knocking the referee down. Owens gets up and Jacob hits Owens with a super kick. Solo goes for the cover and gets the pin.

Winner: The Bloodline via Pinfall.

Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens argue in the ring and Orton tries to break it up. Both men hug and SmackDown goes off the air.
