Jacqueline Signed WWE Legends Contract

Double Take Sports reported that WWE Hall of Famer Jacqueline, real name Jacqueline Moore, recently signed a Legends contract with WWE.

Jacqueline Moore, Ms. Jacqueline, Miss Tennessee, Ms. Texas, and my personal favorite, Jackie, is not only the first African American female inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but she recently signed a legends contract with WWE!
What does this mean for the first African American female to sign a legends contract? She will not only join the ranks of the Undertaker, The Dudley Boyz, The Godfather, Mick Foley, Kurt Angle, Bray Wyatt, and Victoria, she will receive income from merchandise sales and TV/video game appearances! We haven’t seen or heard the last from this glass ceiling breaking superstar!
Her signing reflects WWE’s current regimes appreciation of what she contributed and can continue contributing to the ever-expanding world of professional wrestling.

Jacqueline confirmed on Twitter that she had signed a WWE Legends deal with the company.

Paul Heyman Comments on WWE Having “Greatest Female Roster in the History of the Industry”

A recent Bloomberg Power Players event in New York City, New York featured Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman among the guests. One of the topics discussed included Heyman’s thoughts about his belief that WWE currently has the greatest female roster in the history of the wrestling industry.

“I let the product speak for itself. We have in WWE right now, what is the equivalent to when the Williams [Venus Williams and Serena Williams] sisters came onto the tennis court. We have the greatest female roster in the history of this industry and they’re not just there for sex and appeal. They are there because women in the WWE right now are the best. Ronda Rousey came to WWE to display her athletic skills. While doing it, she got a chance to also display her own persona as a character. When Ronda Rousey, who is to MMA what the Williams sisters were to tennis, comes to WWE to do that, it speaks volumes of what we’re doing. The women here are not only magnificant athletes, they have acting chops as well. You won’t find that anywhere else. You either find great actresses or great athletes. Here, you find the marriage of them both.”

USA Network recently revealed the official new logo for WWE’s SmackDown television series ahead of next week’s season premiere and return show on the network.

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Edmonton, Canada featured Giovanni Vinci making his in-ring return to WWE’s SmackDown brand. This match was notable for Vinci getting pinned only just a few seconds into his match against Apollo Crews. WrestleVotes reported that their sources stated that several key WWE officials within creative “absolutely hated” the booking direction for Vinci’s storyline angle on the show.

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Edmonton also featured The Bloodline being victorious in the final match on the final SmackDown show of the FOX era. The Bloodline defeated The Street Profits & DIY in an Eight-Man Tag Team match in the main event of the show.

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Edmonton also involved two fan-related incidents taking place in the crowd. PWInsider was informed by one person who attended the event that there was a fight between a couple of drunk fans resulting in police and security getting involved. One man who had two kids with him was stated to have been escorted out of the venue after police identified him as the person who started the fight. The other drunk man was stated to have been allowed to stay by police only for this person to get involved in a second incident with another person and was seen crying to security. It was stated that other fans in the section kept yelling at the drunk man to stop crying since he was interrupting their enjoyment of the show.

WWE recently released two new videos on their WWE Vault channel on YouTube. The first new video was the WWE Intercontinental Championship match of Shelton Benjamin vs. Randy Orton (c) from WWE Bad Blood 2024. The second new video was the WWE Intercontinental Championship match of Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage (c) from WWE WrestleMania III.

Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston recently released an article for Post Wrestling featuring an early detailed look into all of the episodes of Netflix’s upcoming Mr. McMahon docuseries based on a source who had an advance screening for the series.

WWE’s SummerSlam 2024 event this past August in Cleveland, Ohio reportedly drew around 18,400 cable television pay-per-view buys based on updated late buys numbers, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

In a recent virtual fan signing event for K&S WrestleFest, former WWE talent MVP stated that WWE officials had plans at one point to bring back the Hurt Business only to later drop those plans. MVP stated “We were told we were going to be reunited. I still have a shirt. The shirts were made. Hurt Business on the front. Back in business on the back. They were made. We were told that it was going to happen. Next thing I see, Bobby is with the Street Profits. ‘What happened here?’ I get a call from Bruce (Prichard), ‘Somebody should have called you. Sorry. We decided we’re going in a different direction.’ What the fuck is that? That’s not professional. That’s how it went down. I’m a professional. I show up and I go to work and do what I’m told. In the pro wrestling business, once you get to a certain level, you do have input into what you do. It’s one thing when we’re told, ‘We’re going to do this’ and steps have been made, and then there is a pivot without a conversation. That’s not good business. I don’t care what anybody thinks. That’s not how you do business. Needless to say, I was very salty about that. We had Bobby going from a two-time WWE champion to not being in the conversation or in the title picture at all. Got put with The Street Profits [Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins], who were white hot, and they got cooled off. The Street Profits went from being major figures to sitting in catering. I don’t know why. In a recent interview with WrestleManiacs UK, Baron Corbin gave his thoughts about how his second stint in WWE’s NXT brand was originally only supposed to last for one month. Corbin stated “It brought everything out of me. It was such an amazing experience and opportunity to go down there and be around Shawn, who I’ve never worked with this hands on. Obviously met him a bunch of times, had conversations with him. But getting to directly work with him and then Russo, Matt Bloom, Terry Taylor, Norman Smiley, all those guys that down there, they have such a passion and love for this world and this business, and they protected at all costs. So to get down there, and it was just supposed to be like a month thing, to beat up Carmelo Hayes a few times and they said, ‘are you into doing more?’ and I told Sean, I said, ‘let’s call Hunter and let’s don’t leave me alone let me be here’. Let’s reset this. Shawn was like, I’m all in. Like, whatever you want to do, let’s do it. He wants everybody in that building to succeed. I think that’s the biggest thing people need to understand about Shawn Michaels right now. He’s giving you all of the tools and the opportunity and the people behind you to succeed, to create and tell the story that you want to tell. So to get down there and do that and really take ownership of what I was doing. And, you know, with Russo saying, hey, you know, where do you want to go? I was like, man, it’s burn the ships. Like, that was like a mantra just for me of like, when I kind of was finishing my time up there on the main roster before, I was stuck, man. Mentally, I was burnt out. Physically, I was burnt out. The stuff with JBL just didn’t work for some reason. It didn’t resonate with the audience. I saw it, and I still think it could have been so successful. So that really hurt, because I think the world of John, and it really kind of put me in a dark place, in a sense. So getting to go down there and going, wait, I get to tell my story now. Let’s give these people the real Baron Corbin. Let’s give them all the authenticity that we can. I think that’s what translated across the screen. People are texting me, Big E’s texting me, Corey Graves is like, ‘yo, you’re having so much fun down there.’ and I really was. There was nothing contrived about that. They gave me every opportunity and everything I asked for to succeed.So it was my job to make it work and put it together and make it perfect, and I think we did.” Corbin also gave his thoughts about how he garnered a new appreciation from the fans through his second stint in NXT. Corbin stated “That’s why I got that new lease on life and the new appreciation from the fans. The fans got a new version of me down there where they were like, oh man, he can go. Like we always knew, you know, he can talk in the ring, he can put on some good matches, but he can go. You know, when you’re out there with Ilja, with Carmelo, with Braon, with so many of the superstars they have down there, Trick Williams right now, like he’s killing it. But to get down there and compete with those guys who are hungry, it was really a truly special experience.
