Jake Lee Suffered Knee Injury at Wednesday’s NJPW Road to Destruction Event

Wednesday’s Road to Destruction 2024 event for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Sendai, Japan featured Jake Lee suffering a knee injury during his Six-Man Tag Team match with David Finlay and Gabe Kidd against Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto, and YOSHI-HASHI.

Lee suffered the injury following a spot involving him being knocked off the apron and landed rough on he floor leading to him being see clutching his knee. This led to Lee being unable to continue for the remainder of the match and being attended to by NJPW’s Young Lions and medics.

Tokyo Sports reported that Lee was stretchered out to the back and had suffered a right knee injury. It was reported that the severity of Lee’s injury is currently not known.


Ricochet Comments on Being “Absolutely Interested” in Competing in NJPW G1 Climax

A recent episode of the Battleground Podcast featured Ricochet as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Ricochet’s thoughts about his interest in competing in a potential future G1 Climax tournament for New Japan Pro Wrestling now that he is signed to AEW.

“Yeah, absolutely. I already won Best of the Super Juniors. I feel like I should upgrade my goals to the G1, for sure. There are a lot of things in between that I didn’t get to accomplish, that I still plan on accomplishing.”

PROGRESS Wrestling recently announced that Cara Noir will be making his in-ring return for the company at their Chapter 171: History Is Written By The Victors event on September 22 in Camden, England.

GLEAT recently announced that Ricochet will be making an appearance for the company at their October 6th event in Osaka, Japan. It was announced that Ricochet will be teaming with CIMA in a tag team match against mystery opponents. This will be Ricochet’s first match in Japan since 2017.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling recently announced that Alex Zayne and Sheldon Jean will be making an appearance for the company at their Forged In Excellence events on October 19-20 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
