Swerve Strickland Says AEW Signed New Media Rights Deal with FOX

As noted before, AEW’s television deal with Warner Bros Discovery is currently expected to expire at the end of this year but AEW and WBD are currently believed to be close to finalizing a new media rights deal that would be 3-4 years in length and worth in the ballpark of around $170 million per year. Besides WBD, FOX is also currently believed to be in talks with AEW for a potential separate deal.

A recent Sneaker Con 2024 event featured Swerve Strickland and Flash Garments among those in attendance. In an interview with QueenzFlip at the event, Strickland revealed that AEW has signed a new media rights deal with FOX.

Swerve Strickland – “It’s a movie. We’re about to move. We’re about to get on Fox. SmackDown is leaving Fox. We’re taking Fox.

Flash Garments – “Fox and Warner Brothers. It’s getting nasty outside.

Strickland – “TNT, TBS, and Fox. We got all three of them things. Tony Khan lets me do whatever the fuck I want. He owns the Jacksonville Jaguars.

AEW is currently expected to officially announce their new media rights deals as early within the next couple of weeks.
