Eddie Kingston Broken Leg Injury Status Update
As noted before, Eddie Kingston has been out of action for AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling since this past May due to a broken leg, torn ACL, and torn meniscus injuries and underwent surgery this past July.
A recent episode of the DAVINci Report podcast featured Kingston as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Kingston providing an update on his recovery from a broken leg injury.
“Just healing up from a fracture of my tibia, strain on my meniscus, and I had to get my ACL replaced. A lot of fun.
It’s been a process. It’s going good, until my insurance acts up, and that’s when I get annoyed. Insurance is a fraud, folks. Just throwing that out there.
I’m starting to get itchy at home. I can walk now, a little bit. I can walk, I can lift weights. I can do squats a little bit, not too low. Now it’s at the point of, ‘Let’s hurry this up. Let’s get going.'”
Kingston also stated that he is currently hopeful of being able to make an in-ring return by April or May of 2025.

Tony Khan Comments on AEW Plans for MAX
As noted before, AEW and Warner Bros Discovery are currently believed to be close to finalizing a new media rights deal that would be 3-4 years in length and worth in the ballpark of around $170 million per year. AEW pay-per-view events are currently expected to air on MAX starting in January of 2025.
WFAN Daily held a recent interview with AEW CEO Tony Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan’s thoughts about AEW’s current plans for their content on MAX.
“The plan is, I think, to do a lot of things potentially with Max. That could involve a variety of things. We have the shows on TBS and TNT, that’s how they are available now. Dynamite, Collision, Rampage, pay-per-views, everything is on the table. I’m really excited to have TBS and TNT as a partner for all the great things we do. For the pay-per-views, for sure, we’ve had great conversations about streaming. We’ve been doing it on Bleacher Report. They are sunsetting Bleacher Report. We’re going to be doing our pay-per-views on other apps. You can get the pay-per-views on other places for now. We’re working on some exciting announcements about where to get those and what’s to come with Max. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I can promise you, I’m 100% confident that you’re going to have AEW on TBS and TNT for a long time to come.”
