Minoru Suzuki Makes Surprise Appearance on AEW Collision Grand Slam 2024 Show

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, New York featured Japanese wrestling legend and New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Minoru Suzuki making a surprise return appearance to AEW.

During the show, Jack Perry was seen driving his bus to the venue and made his way to the ring for the open challenge match for his TNT Championship. After a brief pause, Suzuki’s music played revealing him to be the one officially answering the challenge.

This was Suzuki’s first appearance in AEW since this past July’s AEW Dynamite Blood & Guts 2024 show.

Claudio Castagnoli Debuts New Entrance Theme Song on AEW Collision Grand Slam 2024 Show

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision show also featured Claudio Castagnoli officially debuting a new entrance theme song.

Prior to the start of the AEW World Trios Championship match on the show, Castagnoli, PAC, and eventually Wheeler Yuta came out to the ring under a new entrance song for Castagnoli.

Following the debut of the new entrance song, AEW announced on Twitter that Castagnoli’s new song is called “Uppercut Moonlight” by AEW lead composer Micky Ruckus.

RUSH Forms New LFI Stable on AEW Collision Grand Slam 2024 Show

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Grand Slam 2024 show also featured RUSH forming a new La Faccion Ingobernable stable in AEW.

Following Hologram’s victory over Dralistico and The Beast Mortos in a Three-way Lucha Libre match, Dralistico and Mortos were seen arguing at each other over Dralistico’s issues about them not being on the same page and letting Hologram pick up the win. This led to RUSH coming out to the ring and played peacemaker teasing him forming a new LFI with Dralistico and Mortos. They were interrupted by Hologram who tried to attack Mortos only for all three of them to quickly attack and laid out Hologram in return.

Hangman Page vs. Juice Robinson Announced for Dynamite 5 Year Anniversary Show

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Grand Slam 2024 show also featured one new match announced for the card of AEW Dynamite 5 Year Anniversary Show, which takes place on October 2nd at the Peterson Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This new match announced was a singles match of Hangman Adam Page vs. Juice Robinson.

This match was setup following Robison and Page getting into a physical confrontation during and after Page’s Lumberjack Strap match against Jeff Jarrett on the show.
