Backstage Reaction to The Outrunners Positive Crowd Reaction at This Past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show

This past Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show in Lexington, Kentucky featured AEW holding their first ever Tag Team Casino Gauntlet match. Among the teams who competed in this match was The Outrunners, Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd, who also got the loudest reaction from the crowd out of all the teams who competed.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that AEW officials were very happy with the loud reaction that The Outrunners received from the crowd on the show.

It was reported that one main reason for The Outrunners big popularity with the crowd is due to Magnum and Floyd have worked in the Kentucky area quite a bit during their careers.

Jake Roberts Comments on His Time in AEW was Originally Slated to be for Just Six Weeks Before Being Offered Contract

A recent episode of the Rewind Recap Relive podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and AEW manager Jake “The Snake” Roberts. One of the topics discussed included Roberts’ thoughts about how AEW’s original plans for his time in the company was only meant to be six weeks long.

“We made a deal for me to be there for six weeks, and at the end of four weeks, they gave me some papers saying I was going to be there for a year. Then, when the year contract was up, they gave me another contract for two years, and I just got another contract for a year. So, yeah, I’m still there.”
