Quick Match Results

  1. Sheamus defeated Pete Dunne via Brogue Kick (pinfall)
    • Near the end of the match, Dunne trapped Sheamus’ injured hand inside the turnbuckle and attacked him several times only to be pushed away by the referee each time. This led to Sheamus yanking out the turnbuckle to free his hand and hit a Brogue Kick to Dunne for the pinfall victory.
  2. Maxxine Dupri vs. Ivy Nile went to a No Contest
    • Alpha Academy’s Akira Tozawa & Otis came out with Dupri on the stage while American Made did the same with Nile before both teams left to the back.
    • During the match, the lights went out and the Wyatt Sicks music played as the ring filled up with smoke. This led to a shadowy figure showing up in the ring as American Made ran out to save Nile. This shadowy figure was revealed to be Sister Abigail leading to the rest of the Wyatt Sicks showing up behind American Made and engaged in a brawl. Nile & the Creed Bros got tossed out of the ring leading to Gable being surrounded by the Wyatts. This led to Uncle Howdy laying out Gable with a Sister Abigail in the ring.
  3. The New Day (Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston) & Odyssey Jones defeated The Final Testament (Karrion Kross & AOP (Akam & Rezar)) via Journey’s End (pinfall)
    • Final Testament’s Scarlett & Paul Ellering came out with Kross & AOP to be in their corner for the match.
    • Jones pinned Rezar after hitting a Black Hole Slam to give his team the victory.
    • Following the match, Jones & Kingston celebrated in the ring while Woods looked on from a distance and was not as excited over their victory.
  4. No Disqualification match – Bronson Reed defeated The Miz via Tsunami (pinfall)
    • Near the end of the match, Reed hit a DVD toss to Miz sending him through the table that was in the corner. Reed then went to the top rope and hit a Tsunami to Miz for the pinfall victory.
    • Following the match, Reed attempted to attack Miz with another Tsunami only to be interrupted by Braun Strowman’s music and Strowman running out to save Miz. Reed went down to the apron and smiled as Strowman stared him down from the other side’s apron.
  5. Dominik Mysterio vs. Damian Priest went to a No Contest
    • During Priest’s entrance, Judgement Day’s Carlito, JD McDonagh, & Finn Balor ran out and brawled with Priest as Mysterio looked on in the ring only for Ripley to show up from behind. This led to Ripley & Priest attacking Mysterio and Ripley attempted to hit a Riptide to Mysterio through the announcer’s table. Liv Morgan struck Ripley with a chair to prevent it from happening and attacked Ripley laying her out while the rest of Judgement Day held Priest so that he could watch on. Judgement Day then continued their attack on Priest & Ripley that ended with Morgan hitting the Oblivion to Ripley and Mysterio hitting a frog splash to Priest. Judgement Day then posed over Ripley & Priest’s fallen bodies in the ring.
  6. WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Triple Threat match – Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) (c) defeated Damage CTRL (Kairi Sane & IYO SKY) and Pure Fusion Collective (Zoey Stark & Shayna Baszler) via Swanton (pinfall)
    • Sonya Deville came out with Pure Fusion Collective to be in their corner for the match.
    • Near the end of the match, Sane hit a back fist to Baszler laying her out. Sane went up to the top rope leading to Dawn getting on the apron and made a blind tag. Sane then attempted to hit the Insane Elbow only for Baszler to counter with her knees and grabbed Sane. This led to Fyre tagging in and Dawn hit a lungblower to Baszler and held up both Baszler and Sane. This led to Fyre hitting a Swanton to Baszler and Sane and covered Baszler for the pinfall victory.
  7. Randy Orton defeated Ludwig Kaiser via RKO (pinfall)
    • During the match, Gunther showed up at the timekeeper’s area and confronted Orton at ringside leading to Kaiser attacking Orton from behind. Gunther then stayed at ringside and looked on for the rest of the match.
    • Following the match, Orton and Gunther engaged in a staredown leading to Orton drawing a line with his foot in the ring and daring for Gunther to cross it. This led to Gunther running into the ring and brawled with Orton as the show went to a close.

Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk Strap Match Set for WWE Bash In Berlin

Monday’s WWE RAW show featured one new match announced for the card of WWE Bash In Berlin, which takes place on August 31st at the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany.

This new match announced was a Strap match of Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk.

This match was setup following a promo segment involving Punk and McIntyre. During the show, Punk came out to the ring with a strap and grabbed a microphone. After some words congratulating the Florida Panthers for winning the Stanley Cup and rambling about WWE’s current hot business streak and praising WWE fans, Punk stated that it is the fans who drive him and when fans hand him bracelets they made themselves, it might not mean a lot for some. Punk stated that he is the Taylor Swift for men. Punk then turned his attention towards McIntyre and stated that McIntyre hates him and wants nothing to do with him. Punk stated that Drew says he is done with Punk but Drew made it personal. Punk then stated that he thinks Drew loves him and is obsessed with him. Punk stated that McIntyre wears a bracelet with Punk’s wife’s name on it.

Punk then stated that it was time to announce his news. Punk stated that he made Drew a bracelet and he talked to Adam Pearce. Punk stated that unless Drew is a chicken, at WWE Bash In Berlin it will be a Strap match between them. After some more words, Punk stated that he wants to be able to take his bracelet back and leave Drew with scars so that he will never forget CM Punk.

This led to McIntyre’s music and came out to the stage. McIntyre stated that he has been thinking all week about what he is going to do to Punk. McIntyre stated that Punk embarrassed him last week and he had fantasies about what he would do to Punk. McIntyre responded to Punk’s challenge, first asking Punk is he started drinking and then accepted the match. McIntyre stated that is next week but he can’t wait a week for the receipt for the marks on his back. McIntyre then asked the crowd if they want a tease for next week, which the crowd responded in approval. McIntyre told Punk to lose the strap so that can give everyone a show. Punk responded stating he gave him a teaser last week so he wants to give them the full motion picture this week. Punk stated that he will give Drew the strap if Drew gives him the bracelet. McIntyre looked at Punk’s bracelet he was wearing on his wrist and took it off. McIntyre laughed and responded stating “no.” McIntyre stated that Punk is a liar so he could attack him from behind and whip him like a dog if he gets in the ring. McIntyre then stated that April and Larry are happier at home with him. Punk responded stating unlike Berlin being safe, he won’t be attached to Drew but Drew will be attached to him.

Xavier Woods Teases Again Potential Split from New Day

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured Xavier Woods teasing again a potential split from New Day.

This potential split and heel turn has been setup in recent weeks over Karrion Kross trying to put a wedge between Kofi Kingston and Woods’ longtime friendship and split up New Day.

During the show, New Day and Odyssey Jones were seen backstage preparing for their Six-Man Tag match against The Final Testament. Jones walked away for a bit leaving Kingston and Woods to be alone. Kingston asked Woods why he feels a bit out of it of late. Woods responded back stating people have tried to break them up before and will continue to try it. Woods then stated that he wishes that Kofi had talked to him about Jones first because it feels like they are trying to replace Big E. Kingston responded back talking about how they have each others backs and are a family. Kingston stated that Jones is in the same boat they were in the past and he needs veterans to help him.

During the match, Woods gave an upset look after Kingston tagged in Jones over him leading to Jones picking up the victory for their team. Following the match, Kingston and Jones celebrated happily in the ring while Woods kept his distance and did not look as excited over their victory.


#1 Contender Tournament for Intercontinental Title Announced on Monday’s RAW Show

Monday’s WWE RAW show also featured the announcement of a #1 Contender’s tournament for the Intercontinental Championship.

During the show, current Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker was interviewed backstage by Cathy Kelly. Breakker stated that he heard there will be a tournament held to determine his next challenger. Breakker stated that Adam Pearce can not stand that he is progressing through the division and Pearce wants to slow him down. Breakker stated that it is not his fault he is a badass and genetic freak and it is not his fault that the dogs are barking in every city. Breakker then stated that it is not his fault he won this title. Breaker then gave some threatening words stating that the poor soul who wins this tournament and stands before him for the title, he will spear you through the floor and give you the beating of a lifetime.
