WWE: Randy Orton on Career Future, Raquel Rodriguez Mast Cell Activation Syndrome Update, Damian Priest on Edge’s Removal from Judgement Day Made Him Worry Over His Own WWE Career

Randy Orton Comments on Future of His Wrestling Career & Potential Retirement Plans

A recent episode of Cody Rhodes’ So, What Do You Want To Talk About? podcast featured Randy Orton as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Orton’s thoughts about the future of his wrestling career and potential retirement plans.

“To answer your question honestly, I think do this for as long as I can and make sure, we brought up my wife Kim on a couple of occasions, she told me, ‘When it’s time to hang them up, I’ll let you know.’ If this is when I need to hang them up, I don’t want to go here. I don’t want to retire and have a last match and then leave the company and have another last match and another one and another one. Like John (Cena). When he says, ‘This is my last Royal Rumble. This is my last Elimination Chamber. This is my last WrestleMania.’ He means it. If anyone has ever meant that, it’s him. I want to follow suit. I want, when it’s all said and done and it’s over, I want it to be over. I want to take it to that point and then tear it down and ride off into the sunset.”

Damian Priest Comments on Worrying He was Going to get Released from WWE After Edge was Kicked Out of Judgement Day

Sports Illustrated held a recent interview with Damian Priest. One of the topics discussed included Priest’s thoughts about Edge’s removal from Judgement Day and worrying that he was going to get released from WWE afterwards.

“We’d just had a major moment joining together forming The Judgment Day. It felt like no time had passed, and then it was Edge who told me that he was being taken out of the group. He waited to tell me after TV one night when we were on the road. I thought we were done. I was so upset. When Rhea found out, she was even more mad than me.

Edge was mad, too. I still speak with him–he was one of our biggest backers. When he told me, I remember him saying, ‘All of this, for nothing.’ And I repeated that–for nothing. That’s the way it felt at the time. I was waiting for the phone call to get released. Obviously, it worked out a lot differently.”
