Randy Orton Confirms He Signed New WWE Contract

As noted before, Randy Orton is believed to have recently signed a new contract with WWE to remain in the company for the foreseeable future. Orton initially confirmed that he had signed a new deal during an interview with Marca.com earlier this month.

WWE’s Bash In Berlin Kickoff show earlier today in Berlin, Germany featured Randy Orton among the guests. One of the topics discussed included Orton confirming that he had recently signed a new five-year contract extension with WWE.

“I just signed a five-year extension to my contract. I’ve got some time left to do this. I feel better than I’ve felt in over a decade. I want that title — and I want to be a 15-time World Champion, and then a 16-time World Champion, and even a 17-time World Champion. And set yet another record here in the WWE.”

Steve Austin Comments on Making Potential Appearance at WrestleMania 41

Fox News Digital held a recent interview with WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin. One of the topics discussed included Austin’s thoughts about his interest in making a potential appearance at next year’s WWE WrestleMania 41 event in Las Vegas.

“I’m totally reality-based, but I think it’s a young man’s sport. [WrestleMania 40] was in Philly – too far to go. Kind of out of my wheelhouse. I don’t leave Nevada if I don’t have to.

I said something about it this year just because it’s 400 miles down the road. I do spend several trips a year in Las Vegas, so, to think that WWE’s biggest signature pay-per-view event is 400 miles away, in a state that I live in, that I’m going to be there, make a couple of appearances, I’ll be promoting my beer if they, WWE, reached out and said, ‘Hey, maybe you want to do something,’ I’d be happy to do it as long as it makes sense.”

Austin also gave his thoughts about his interest in him potentially wrestling another match.

“But to get in there, put trunks on, and to try and be the guy that I once was … I did that, two years ago and tried to do something but I never had a ring to practice in. [Hulk Hogan] hit it right on the head where he goes, ‘Well, he’s not calloused up. His body isn’t going to be ready for what he feels.’ Undertaker hit it right on the head when he said his timing was not going to be there, which it wasn’t, because I didn’t have any timing. Triple H hit it right on the head where he goes you never go out there, you never know what you’re going to go out there with because you don’t know what you have. You haven’t been in a ring in 20 years. I didn’t know what I had.

But there’s so much going on. They got such a stacked roster with so many great superstars these days that they’re not going to have any problem filling two nights of entertainment. But if I got out there and be a part of it on one hand and do something positive that works for the company and works for what they want to do, and it satisfied a crowd, I’d be happy to.”

Kevin Owens Comments on Future of His Wrestling Career & Potential Retirement Plans

Uproxx held a recent interview with Kevin Owens. One of the topics discussed included Owens’ thoughts about the future of his in-ring wrestling career and his potential retirement plans.

“I don’t have a decade left here. Another 5, 6 years or something if the opportunities are there and the circumstances are right.”

Owens also gave his thought about being hopeful of having one more world title run because it would “probably make my daughter really happy” but that won’t make or break things for him.

“Mainly, though, I really just want everything I do to be memorable and enjoyable for people watching, and I really want to help the future of the industry. Whether, you could say work with the younger talent or whatever, but it’s not even necessarily younger talent, there’s talent of all ages that are coming up, that are developing. And I want to have a blast doing it.”
