Steve Austin Comments on Potential WrestleMania 41 Appearance

As noted before, WWE’s WrestleMania 41 event will be taking place on April 19-20, 2025 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Athletic held a recent interview with WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin. One of the topics discussed included Austin’s thoughts about his match with Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38.

“(Owens) got in the ring with the name Stone Cold Steve Austin, but he didn’t get in with the true Stone Cold who was a (expletive) machine. When the ball rang, I was an (expletive). And he didn’t get that guy. That’s what I was mad about. I wanted him to know what it was like to be in there with the (expletive) when he’s on. You try to be the guy you were, you try to be in that alpha state. Although your mindset is there, physically you are not.”

Austin also gave his thoughts about the potential of him making an appearance at next year’s WrestleMania 41 event in Las Vegas.

“I said I won’t leave Nevada. It’s hard to get me out of this state. But … Wrestlemania next year is in Vegas. That’s in Nevada.”

CM Punk Comments on Him Not Rooting for AEW to Fail & Aew Airing All In 2023 Backstage Video

A recent episode of the SI Media podcast featured CM Punk as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Punk’s thoughts about him not rooting for AEW to fail and he still has friends who work there.

“I don’t root against them. I think it’s easy to be able to say like, ‘Oh, can’t wait until something bad happens to them.’ But the reality is, there’s a lot of people backstage that earn a paycheck. I still have friends that work there, so it’s not like I’m hoping somebody loses their job or everybody loses their job or something like that,” Punk said. “It’s just — I look at it like it’s just not the same business that I’m in. And if you’re trying to get paid and you can go there, go get paid. Congratulations.”

Punk also gave his thoughts about AEW’s decision to air the backstage incident between him and Jack Perry from last year’s All In 2023 event.

“It’s kind of like — I have to wrestle Drew McIntyre, right? Just this garbage person that I don’t want in my life. But this is the fight game, it’s the sh*t talk business. It’s just like fighting in the UFC. You see these guys ripping at each other, ugly press conferences, getting personal. And it’s just like, I don’t necessarily enjoy that energy. But the payoff is, I get to go in a ring and I get to blacken eyes and chip teeth and make Drew sob and do whatever else in my head that I hope to do to him.

So it felt really ugly. But then I was just like — why? Showing that footage isn’t going to help them or hurt me, so I was just like whatever. Being the top draw in two different companies is pretty wild. Like, thanks guys.”
