Jacob Fatu Ankle Injury Status Update – Fatu No Longer Wearing Walking Boot at WWE House Show Event in Germany
As noted before, Jacob Fatu suffered an ankle injury at WWE’s SumemrSlam 2024 event earlier this month in Cleveland, Ohio. It is currently not known if Fatu’s injury was just for storyline purposes or a legitimate injury but Fatu made his return on the August 16th WWE SmackDown show.
This past Tuesday’s WWE house show event in Obserhausen, Germany featured The Bloodline (Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa) defending their WWE Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat match against A-Town Down Under and The Street Profits.
This match was notable for Jacob Fatu accompanying The Bloodline to the ring but no longer in a walking boot that he had been wearing on his foot since his return.

Matt Riddle Comments on His Life Being Better Since WWE Release & His Past Issue with Roman Reigns Being Resolved
The New York Post held a recent interview with Matt Riddle. One of the topics discussed included Riddle’s thoughts about how he felt his life was deteriorating away during his time in WWE and feeling better since his release from the company.
“Even though I was making great money, my family life deteriorated, I got divorced and other things and then on top of that just being able to see the kids, then just taking care of responsibilities. When I’m flying to a different city or driving to a different city every day and wrestling and memorizing promos and all these things, a lot of other things fell to the side.
I’m in a way different place. I feel way better. It’s hard to explain because most people think, ‘Oh you’re there, it must be great.’ Professionally my life was awesome. Personally, my life was in shambles. You lose your family. You lose this, that and you’re trying to rebuild anything and you don’t have time to.”
Riddle also gave his thoughts about his past issue with Roman Reigns over controversial comments he made saying he could beat up Reigns in a fight being resolved between the two.
“This isn’t a flex, this is the truth. If I didn’t think I could I wouldn’t say it. You don’t hear me saying I can beat up Bobby Lashley, you know maybe on a good day. Or a Brock Lesnar, maybe on a good day.
I think when he saw how professional I am in the ring and I also explained why things were said and I wasn’t just trying to call you out. I know my place in WWE but when someone tells me to cut a promo on you, I’m gonna cut a promo on you. I think he understood that. Still wasn’t happy about it, but understood. Me and Roman, we’re good.”

Thurston reported that the San Antonio city government gave WWE $546,710.74 in a financial package to bring the 2023 Royal Rumble to the Alamodome in the city. Thurston reported that this deal included WWE receiving $250,000 in cash as a site fee and the rest as a non-cash portion to cover other event-related expenses.
Thurston reported that the city of San Antonio had submitted expenses totaling $575,415.98 to the Texas Governor’s Office for reimbursement.
