Rich Swann TNA Suspension & Disorderly Intoxication Arrest Update
As noted before, Rich Swann was recently suspended by TNA Wrestling and entered substance abuse rehab program following his arrest for disorderly public intoxication this past June in Florida. The reason for the big gap in time from Swann’s arrest to his suspension was due to TNA officials only found out about the incident earlier this week.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that a court hearing was held on Wednesday afternoon regarding the charges against Swann but Swann was not present and was represented by his attorney based on recent court records.
Johnson reported that Swann is currently scheduled to attend a court hearing on September 4th regarding the status of Swann’s legal case. Swann reportedly will also be issuing his plea at this upcoming hearing.

In a recent interview with the AEW Close Up show, Willow Nightingale gave her thoughts about getting to wrestle in New Japan Pro Wrestling and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre during her time in AEW. Nightingale stated “I didn’t have the opportunity to go to Japan, it didn’t come up until I had just gotten signed to AEW. So I did a quick ten-day tour, and I told myself, ‘Well, that’ll probably be it because now I’m just gonna be at TV week in and week out,’ and we have some great partners in New Japan and CMLL. If anything, it just started, and so I’ve been able to really live these lifelong dreams that I didn’t think were possible once I got signed. I try to be aware of things as I’m living in them, like let it sink in. I do try, but sometimes it’s hard because we live so fast, it’s like, okay, what’s next? What’s the next day? Where do I have to fly? But the thing that really hit me, like I am a crybaby, I’m sentimental, but I don’t cry about wrestling a lot. The first time I cried about wrestling in probably over five years, since I broke my neck, was I read something online about how I was one of the first women to hold a major championship for a Japanese company, an American company, and a Mexican company, three major championships. That was the moment that I was like, ‘Holy shit,’ and I sat in my car and I cried because it sunk in, like, ‘Oh, you’re doing really cool stuff.’ I’m just proud. It just kind of made me realize the scope of it all.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

One of the topics discussed included Fletcher’s thoughts about wanting his rematch against Atlantis Jr. for the ROH World Television Championship to take place in his home country of Australia. Fletcher stated “I think, well, Grand Prix on Friday, my number one goal apart from winning this trophy is to eliminate Atlantis Jr. that puts 1-1. That sets us up for the rematch. I think it needs to happen in Australia. I’ve wrestled on his home turf, it’s only fair that I get the home turf advantage, and then we see who comes out the victor. It’s gonna be me; I promise.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
