TNA: Rosemary Makes Surprise Appearance on 8/27 WWE NXT Show, Nic Nemeth on Josh Alexander Iron Man Match, Josh Alexander on Scott D’Amore’s Impact on His Career

Rosemary Makes Surprise Appearance at Tuesday’s WWE NXT Show

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at WWE’s Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured TNA Wrestling talent Rosemary making a surprise appearance.

During the show, Rosemary was revealed to be the mystery opponent that was hand-picked by Wendy Choo for Kelani Jordan’s match, which was won by Jordan.

Following her appearance, WWE held a backstage interview with Rosemary discussing her surprise appearance and relationship with Choo.

“Wendy, darling Wendy sent the call, and when your kinsman calls for help, you come to help. Even if we don’t always see eye to eye, even if we rule different realms, demons help demons. Wendy needed a hand. But what do you mean we didn’t get what we wanted from Kelani? Sure, we didn’t get the win, but we got in her head, didn’t we? Was she standing at the end of the night? No. She was on her back, clutched in Wendy’s grasp, just as the future is clutched in ours.”

Nic Nemeth Comments on His Upcoming Iron Man Match Against Josh Alexander at TNA Emergence 2024

A recent episode of the Under The Ring podcast featured Nic Nemeth as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Nemeth’s thoughts about his upcoming Iron Man match against Josh Alexander for the TNA World Championship at this Friday’s TNA Emergence 2024 event.

“Someone like me who has not gone an hour in a really long time. For years, I hone myself on never being tired, always having the stamina. I can go all night long no matter what the situation because of my Saint Edge wrestling training and my Kent State wrestling training. I still have that, I still have the lungs. Listen, if you’re not as good as someone else, you can try hard and maybe win and maybe have a shot. But if you’re never ever tired and you can outlast them, there is a chance you could always come from behind and make a victory. So many matches that happened for me in high school and college and I’ve used that stamina here, I will never ever be tired. Fans pay money to come see us and if I’m giving them 98% of my effort, I’m not worth it. I need to give them everything it’s worth just so they go, ‘Damn, that was great, I want to come back.’ This match is an hour long Iron Man match. It’s basically Alexander’s match, it’s his go-to, it’s his thing. It’s something that five, six, seven years ago I would’ve gone, pfft, this going to be easy. The training won’t change for me. I never stop, I don’t train and take it down a notch and go here and take time off. There’s no offseason. I don’t get hurt, I don’t take time off. I always go seven days a week one way or another and if I miss a day because of travel or some weird issues or I’m sick, the next day I’ll do two workouts because I will always have that and be ready to go. I want the audience to know that not only am I always fighting to be the best, I will not give you less than a 100%. This is going to be a showcase of two guys that do not want to be outdone by the other and that will make it an extra special match. Hour long match. In this day and age, to keep people’s attention, you’ve gotta be good. You can’t be okay, you can’t be pretty good, you can’t be pretty damn good, you’ve gotta be the best. Otherwise, people are changing the channel or talking a walk. I promise you, we will absolutely deliver and you know we can.”

Josh Alexander Comments on Scott D’Amore’s Speech on January 18th TNA Impact Show & D’Amore’s Impact on His Wrestling Career

A recent episode of the Johnny I Pro Show podcast featured Josh Alexander as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Alexander’s thoughts about then TNA President Scott D’Amore’s speech to the live crowd following his match against Will Ospreay on the January 18th TNA Impact show and D’Amore’s impact on his wrestling career.

“Okay, a little behind the scenes (of the aftermath of my match against Will Ospreay). That happened because we actually had two to three minutes of extra time in our match and we ended up going home early, and it happened and I was like, ‘It’s okay. I’ll grab the microphone. We’ll do something’ and all of a sudden, Scott’s music comes out. Completely unplanned. What happened was he’s in the back watching this. He goes, ‘We have three minutes of airtime we need to fill.’ Blah, blah. ‘What do we do?’ And he’s not saying this, other people are saying this and I guess — I can’t remember if it was Lance Storm, who’s my agent usually always, or Tommy Dreamer turns to him, he’s like, ‘You gotta go out there and cut a promo’ and he’s like, ‘Uh…’ And he just came out and so, everything Scott said was off the cuff. Nothing was thought about beforehand. That is just his passion for TNA, for pro wrestling in general and to watch it firsthand, I got goosebumps in the ring that night. I get goosebumps now talking about it… The passion thing, after 30 years in wrestling, he’s seen and done everything there is to do. To still have that passion, that’s something that I can’t put over enough and that just embodies what Scott D’Amore is to me, as a boss, as a friend now, as a coworker, as a coach. Somebody who’s helped me and guided me through and made me into the Josh Alexander I am now, who is number nine in the PWIs. That wouldn’t have happened without Scott.”
