TNA Impact! TV Taping Night 2 Spoilers from Tampa – NXT Talent Makes Return

TNA Wrestling held the second of a new set of television tapings on Saturday at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida.

This new set of tapings focused on the build for Emergence 2024 and will be for future episodes of TNA Impact!

In regards to notable moments from the tapings, WWE NXT talent Charlie Dempsey made a return appearance. Dempsey competed in a singles match against Jonathan Gresham at the tapings.

TNA Xplosion:

• Sami Callihan defeated Xyan

TNA Impact!:

• Santino Marella came out and stated that due to the actions of last week, he wants Matt Cardona to come down to the ring. He stated he has the evidence for what he did to crash PCO & Steph De Lander’s wedding and he was a wedding crasher. Marella stated that he has a contract for Cardona to face PCO right here in Tampa for what he has done. Cardona responded stating that he will have his lawyers look it over and if everything looks right he will face PCO.
• Ultimate X Qualifying Three-way match – Laredo Kid defeated Jai Vidal and Bhupinder Gujjar
• Rosemary defeated Alisha Edwards. Masha Slamovich came out with Edwards to be in her corner. Near the end of the match, Spitfire came out to prevent Slamovich from interfering leading to Rosemary getting the victory over Edwards.
• Six-Person Tag Team match – Rhino, PCO, & Xia Brookside defeated Kon, Madman Fulton, & Steph De Lander. Matt Cardona came out with De Lander and stated that he would have faced PCO but he is not medically cleared. Cardona told De Lander to not worry since she has two mystery partners, which were revealed to be Kon and Fulton. De Lander spent most of the match arguing with her team mates and looked very distraught and not wanting to face her husband PCO. De Lander was never tagged into the match and after the match, she celebrated her husband PCO’s team victory.
• Ultimate X Qualifying Three-way match – Hammerstone defeated KUSHIDA and Frankie Kazarian. Following the match, Kazarian attacked KUSHIDA laying him out.
• Jonathan Gresham defeated Charlie Dempsey. Following the match, Gresham and Dempsey got into a confrontation and brawled over Dempsey being angry over his loss.
• The System & JDC came out to the ring to give a promo. Alisha Edwards stated that we are looking at the most dominant faction in wrestling and claimed that soon again everyone will hold gold again. This promo was described to be basically similar to the promo the group gave during their segment on the first night’s tapings.
• Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) defeated Renee Michelle & Katiland Alexis
• Eric Young defeated KC Navarro. During the match, The Rascalz’s Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz were seen in the balcony.
• TNA X-Division Champion “Speedball” Mike Bailey defeated Rich Swann. Trent Seven came out alongside Bailey while AJ Francis came out alongside Swann to be in their respective corners for the match. During the match, The Rascalz were seen in the balcony cheering and jeering the action.
• Joe Hendry defeated Brian Myers. The System’s Alisha & Eddie Edwards came out alongside Myers for his match but were eventually thrown out mid-match by the referee due to them interfering. Following the match, Eddie came back out and attacked Hendry with Myers joining in on the attack. This led to Mike Santana running out to save Hendry and cleared the ring of The System.
• Mike Santana defeated Eddie Edwards
• TNA World Tag Team Champions ABC (Ace Austin & Chris Bey) defeated Cody Deaner & Jake Something. Following the match, FIR$T Cla$$’s Rich Swann & AJ Francis ran out and attacked ABC and stood over ABC holding up their TNA Tag titles.
• TNA Knockouts World Championship Match by Elegance – Jordynne Grace defeated Ash By Elegance. This match was held under No DQ rules and featured the ringside being surrounded with “glamorous weapons” such as bedazzled pink chairs and feather boa wrapped trash cans.
• The Hardys (Matt & Jeff Hardy) defeated Moose & JDC. Following the match, Moose & JDC attacked the Hardys leading to Mike Santana running out to save the Hardys. This led to The System’s Eddie Edwards & Brian Myers running out to help out Moose & JDC which then led to Joe Hendry running out to save the Hardys & Santana and helped them clear the ring of The System.
