I don’t know what kind of transplant it is. It could really be anything.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

As noted before, AEW is currently considering plans for British indies wrestlers Michael Oku and Amira to make a potential appearance at their All In 2024 event later this month in London, England. In a recent interview with Stephanie Chase, Oku confirmed that he has been in recent talks with AEW for their All In 2024 event. Oku stated “I’m trying to find the right way to answer this. I think that’s the most I can confirm, is that there’s been contact made, which obviously makes sense. I wrestled Will earlier in the year in front of Tony Khan. I got to meet Tony Khan and have a conversation with him there at the venue as it happened. This match happens with MJF, they’ve posted my promo on their channels. They’re promoting this, so there’s been contact to allow these things to happen with AEW, so there’s been contact of what we can potentially do in the future. I’ll leave it there.” Oku also gave his thoughts about his ideal situation for an AEW appearance. Oku stated “Wembley Stadium. In my head, I was like, it would be cool if I won this title. They have a non-title, they don’t need the title, and I wrestle someone for the title at Wembley Stadium. But I would love to have a step-up from last year. It was cool to experience being around all the boys and girls in the back, to do something, to be involved and have some kind of role in the show, but I feel like I’ve made enough of a name of myself in this country that if a big show’s happening in this country and there’s enough of a crossover with the AEW fans, at least the UK fans, that there would be some interest to see me do something, if it’s small, but a wrestling capacity, as Michael Oku, as me the wrestler on the show. So hey, there’s a Casino Gauntlet as well. There could be surprises there, and I would be very happy if my music as well plays. That’ll be very cool if my music plays at Wembley Stadium.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)

In a recent interview with Stephanie Chase, Deonna Purrazzo gave her thoughts about her decision to not return to WWE and join with AEW instead. Purrazzo stated “I did. It kind of came down to a few weeks before I was a free agent of talking to everybody. Talking to Triple H and William Regal. I talked to, obviously, Tony Khan. Trying to figure out what the best decision for me was going to be. I felt, ultimately, back before I went to NXT the first time, I was supposed to be on All In. I was supposed to be doing all these great things, going back to Japan. I gave all of that up to go to NXT. It didn’t work out. I was very bitter about that, but it just didn’t work out. I learned a lot about myself. I was hesitant to go back into that situation knowing how I was treated. Wanting to avoid that at all costs. I felt like there wasn’t trust there for me to squander this really great opportunity that I knew was there for AEW. Who knows, in hindsight, had I not gone to NXT, had I been at All In, I could have been at AEW from the beginning, maybe. I could’ve been here for five-and-a-half to six years. I was really worried that I would be giving up something really great for something that I already knew the potential outcome of.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
