WWE announced earlier today that this past Saturday’s Money in the Bank 2024 event at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada broke several all-time records in WWE history.
It was announced that this year’s event generated the highest ever live gate record for a WWE arena event in Canada.
It was also announced that this year’s event was the most watched event in Money in the Bank series history with a 46% increase in viewership on Peacock.
This year’s event was also stated to have generated the highest ever merchandise sales for a Money in the Bank event in series history.
It was also announced that over 45,000 fans combined had attended their four events that weekend in Toronto, including their Sami Zayn & Friends Do Toronto comedy show this past Thursday.

STAMFORD, Conn., July 8, 2024 – WWE®, part of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), today announced that Money In The Bank 2024, which featured the surprise announcement of WWE Superstar John Cena’s retirement in 2025, became the highest-grossing WWE arena event in Canada in company history.
In addition to the record-setting weekend, WrestleMania XL: Behind the Curtain has amassed more than 2.3 million total viewers since its July 3 debut on WWE’s YouTube channel. The documentary takes viewers behind the scenes of the chaotic build to WrestleMania XL and features interviews with Dwayne Johnson, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque.
