Tiffany Stratton Gives First Speech as Women’s Money in the Bank Briefcase Holder

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show featured Tiffany Stratton giving her first speech as the current holder of the Women’s Money in the Bank briefcase.

At the start of the show, Stratton came out to the ring and talked about becoming the youngest ever woman to win the Money in the Bank briefcase. After some insults directed at Trish Stratus, Stratton warned Bayley, Liv Morgan, and Roxanne Perez to better their heads on a swivel because their title reigns are on Tiffy Time and very soon they will all be saying “and new WWE Women’s Champion …”

Before Stratton could continue, Bayley’s music interrupted her and came out to the ring. Bayley congratulated Stratton on her huge win and stated that she knows what it takes to do it. Stratton asked Bayley what she is doing out here and that she should know its Tiffy Time. Bayley responded back stating that she does not care and she is out here to give her advice. Bayley talked about her Money in the Bank victory and 2019 and mocked Stratton stating that she probably didn’t even know about WWE in 2019. Stratton responded that 2019 was “like a million years ago” and a few years in this business and she is already the youngest Money in the Bank winner in history. Bayley responded threatening that if Tiffy is planning to use it on her, she better plan on making history again on becoming the first person to ever fail to deliver a cash in.

This led to Nia Jax’s music playing and made her way out to the ring. Jax told Bayley that she is making empty threats and to remember that they have a match at SummerSlam where she will be taking the Women’s title off of her. Bayley responded stating that she does not know who she is talking to since this is not NXT Hugger Bayley, this is the WWE Grand Slam winner, Royal Rumble winner Bayley. Bayley stated that the same Bayley that will embarrass her at SummerSlam.

Bayley then talked about if she slips on a banana peel at SummerSlam and Jax wins and asked Stratton if she is going to cash in on Jax or not. Jax responded that she is aware Bayley is no longer the hugger and she has no problem with Tiffany since she is her personal Barbie doll while Bayley is not a toy but her victim. Jax stated that at SummerSlam she is going to victimize her. This led to a brawl breaking out and Stratton joining in to help Jax resulting in Michin running out with a kendo stick to save Bayley and cleared the ring of Jax and Stratton.

LA Knight vs. Logan Paul for United States Title Setup for WWE SummerSlam 2024

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured the first of two new matches setup for this year’s SummerSlam 2024 event.

This new match setup was an United States Championship match of LA Knight vs. Logan Paul (c).

Earlier in the show, Knight was seen coming out of SmackDown General Manager’s Nick Aldis holding a contract binder.

Later in the show, Knight came out to the ring and talked about how the Money in the Bank Ladder match didn’t go his way and is not going to make excuses. Knight claimed that he is the walking embodiment of the Money in the Bank. Knight stated to look at the path to the Money in the Bank and directed everyone’s attention to the big screen, which aired a clip of Knight pinning Paul in a Money in the Bank Qualifying match. After the video ended, Knight stated that every person in the arena saw him move on to the Money in the Bank but to look a bit deeper, they saw him pin the United States Champion.

Knight then revealed the contents in his binder was a match contract for the United States Championship at SummerSlam 2024. Knight stated that it has Nick Aldis’ signature and proceeded to sign his name on the contract. Knight then stated that the only thing missing is a signature from Logan Paul. Knight then called out Paul to come out to sign the contract only to remind everyone that Paul is not here tonight. Knight stated that he will get the contract signed and at SummerSlam, he will “own Logan Paul and that belt” and everyone will say “LA Knight YEAH.”

Solo Sikoa vs. Cody Rhodes form Undisputed WWE Title Setup for SummerSlam 2024

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured the second of two new matches setup for this year’s SummerSlam 2024 event, which takes place on August 3rd at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio.

This new match setup was an Undisputed WWE Championship match of Solo Sikoa vs. Cody Rhodes.

During the show, The Bloodline came out to the ring. Sikoa demanded for the crowd to acknowledge him and after they refused to do so, Sikoa reminded everyone what happened to those who did not. Sikoa brought up Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman’s names saying that they are gone after not acknowledging him. After the crowd chanted “We Want Roman”, Sikoa responded back stating that they don’t deserve Roman and they have him now. Sikoa stated that if Reigns comes back, Roman will acknowledge him as his Tribal Chief. Sikoa then directed his attention towards Rhodes and stated that it was Cody’s time to acknowledge him.

This led to Rhodes’ music playing and him coming out to the ring. Rhodes stated that he has heard everything that Solo is saying. Rhodes stated that he is sure Sikoa can figure it out and they want the same thing. Rhodes told Sikoa to speak with Nick Aldis but he will consider it official. Rhodes stated that at SummerSlam, it will be for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes then stated that if it really was up to him and if he could make any decision, he would not be waiting until SummerSlam, he would want to do it here and now. Rhodes dropped the microphone and went into a fighting stance as the Bloodline surrounded him. Rhodes then attacked The Bloodline leading to them managing to overwhelm Rhodes due to their numbers advantage. This led to Randy Orton running out trying to save Rhodes to no avail. After the Bloodline regained the upper hand, they continued their attacks on Rhodes and Orton resulting in Rhodes being tied up on the ropes and looking on as Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa gave a Triple Powerbomb to Orton through the announcer’s table. Sikoa then hit a Samoan Spike to Rhodes to knock him out. Fatu then placed the lei around Sikoa’s neck as WWE officials ran out to attend to Orton.
