Quick Match Results

  1. Street Fight match – Jaida Parker defeated Michin via Hipnotic (pinfall)
    • Near the end of the match, Parker hit a Hipnotic to Michin on the outside sending both of them crashing through the balcony wall. Parker tossed Michin back into the ring and hit another Hipnotic for the pinfall victory.
  2. New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne) defeated Hank Walker & Tank Ledger via Spinal Tap (pinfall)
    • Near the end of the match, Dunne hit a fingers snap to Ledger that was followed by Bate hitting a rebound lariat to Ledger. Dunne then hit a double foot stomp to Walker on the outside and Bate hit a Spinal Tap to Legder in the ring for the pinfall victory.
    • Following the match, New Catch Republic and Walker & Ledger stood in the middle of the ring and shook hands in appreciation of their hard fought match.
  3. Izzi Dame defeated Brinley Reece via I-Drive (pinfall)
    • Prior to the start of the match, Edris Enofe & Malik Blade came out with Reece to be in her corner.
    • During the match, Tatum Paxley crawled out from the broken hole in the balcony wall and leaned onto the ropes. Reece rolled up Dame twice for a pair of near falls and Dame responded with a big boot to Reece and followed it with the I-Drive (busted Falcon Arrow) for the pinfall victory.
    • Following the match, Paxley got into the ring and went after Dame leading to Dame quickly scrambling out of the ring.
  4. Oro Mensah defeated Myles Borne via Leg Lariat (pinfall)
    • Prior to the start of the match, No Quarter Catch Crew’s Charlie Dempsey, Tavion Heights, & Damon Kemp came out with Borne while Meta-Four’s Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson came out with Mensah to be in their respective corners.
    • Near the end of the match, Kemp tried to get Borne’s attention to give him brass knuckles to use while the referee was not looking while Dempsey looked on confused over what Kemp was doing. This led to Borne being distracted long enough for Mensah to hit a leg lariat to Borne in the corner for the pinfall victory.
  5. Wendy Choo defeated Carlee Bright via Straitjacket Sleeper (submission)
    • Prior to the start of the match, Kendal Grey came out with Bright to be in her corner.
  6. Jazmyn Nyx defeated Karmen Petrovic via Pele Kick (pinfall)
    • Prior to the start of the match, Jacy Jayne came out with Nyx to be in her corner.
    • Near the end of the match, Jayne interfered and grabbed Petrovic’s foot to prevent her from hitting a spin kick to Nyx. This led to Petrovic stomping on Jayne’s foot in response and was distracted long enough for Nyx to hit a Pele Kick to Petrovic for the pinfall victory.

Duke Hudson & Ridge Holland Admitted to Cheating to Get Chase U Their NXT Tag Titles Match at NXT Heatwave 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show featured Chase U’s Duke Hudson and Ridge Holland admitting that they cheated in order for Chase U to win a shot at the NXT Tag titles at NXT Heatwave 2024.

During the show, Andre Chase was with his Chase U students in the classroom teaching them about the wrestling history in Toronto. Chase stated that they will win the NXT Tag titles on Sunday at NXT Heatwave. Chase then asked a distracted Hudson if he wants to share with the class.

Hudson responded stating that they did not win clean to earn the shot at the NXT Tag titles. Hudson stated that Holland helped by cheating and he didn’t want the help. Hudson then apologized and showed Chase and the rest of the class a photo of Holland cheating to help Hudson win the #1 Contender’s match. Chase asked Holland if he cheated, which Holland responded that he did and apologized for it. Thea Hail responded in a disappointing tone asking how Ridgey could do that and Riley Osborne stating that he knew it. Ridge stated that he was excited to be part of the group and wanted to be part of a family. Holland then stated that is why he pushed Chase out of harms way last week during his match. Chase responded stating that Holland can not go with them to Heatwave as punishment.

Shawn Michaels Addresses Brooks Jensen’s NXT Shows Disruptions & Social Media Comments on Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured head NXT official Shawn Michaels addressing the recent issues of Brooks Jensen intruding NXT shows and his disparaging comments about NXT on social media.

During the show, Michaels was seen backstage and addressed the recent disruptions of shows and comments on social media by Jensen in recent weeks. Michaels stated that despite Jensen’s claims, he has not been released from NXT. Michaels talked about how Brooks has fallen since breaking up his friendship with Josh Briggs. Michaels also stated that he had asked Jensen to step away from NXT shows for now. Michaels stated that the easiest thing to do is to let Jensen go but he believes in second chances. Michaels stated that he invites Jensen to come to next week’s show to have a talk with NXT General Manager Ava about helping him out.

New Women’s Tag Match Announced for Pre-show for NXT Heatwave 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured one new match announced for the card of NXT Heatwave 2024 event, which takes place on July 7th at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

This new match announced was a Women’s Tag Team match of Karmen Petrovic & Arianna Grace vs. Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx. It was also announced that this match will be taking place on NXT Heatwave 2024’s pre-show.

This match was setup following a backstage segment involving NXT GM Ava, Petrovic, and Grace. During the show, Petrovic stormed into Ava’s office upset over Jayne costing her match against Nyx earlier. Petrovic stated that it doesn’t matter if she has to take on both of them at the same time since she wants to take care of them for what they did earlier. Ava responded stating that Petrovic will get her match and on the pre-show for NXT Heatwave but she would not need to go at it alone. This led to a happy Petrovic asking if Natalya came back, which led to Grace walking in instead and revealing that she was her partner.
