WWE: Damian Priest on Didn’t Forget to Kick Out at WWE Money in the Bank, DELTA Reportedly Signed Contract, WWE Allowing Fans to Attend SummerSlam Tryouts

Damian Priest Claims He Didn’t Forget to Kick Out During WWE World Title Match at Money in the Bank 2024

WWE’s Money in the Bank 2024 event earlier this month in Toronto, Ontario, Canada featured Damian Priest defeating Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre to retain his WWE World Heavyweight Championship. This match was notable for Priest being involved in a botched pin count spot over him not kicking out in time and the referee having to hold up his count due to it would have ruined WWE’s plans for McIntyre to cash in his Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase mid-match.

The New York Post held a recent interview with Priest. One of the topics discussed included Priest claiming that he did not botch kicking out of Rollins’ pinfall attempted on him prior to McIntyre’s music playing for his cash-in moment.

“The idea that I forgot to kick out, that not a thing. That’s not a thing. We don’t forget to kick out. Twenty years in, I’m pretty sure there is some kind of muscle memory there. So me forgetting was not the case. There was nothing outside that was supposed to happen. It was a matter of there was a situation, but I’m OK. Everybody’s fine, the story continues.

It doesn’t affect anything. The show goes on and I think fans are very invested in everything that’s going on. The ones that matter knew the situation and nobody thought twice about it. It was, move on.”

It was stated in the interview that Priest “didn’t want to get into anything medical around the situation, saying it was personal” for the reason for why that incident happened.

DELTA Reportedly Signed Contract with WWE

Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan reported that his sources stated that DELTA recently signed a contract with WWE and will heading to the company soon.

Brennan reported that WWE officials allowed DELTA to finish up her remaining indies dates in Australia and had been set to move to the United States in July.

Brennan reported that the start date for DELTA at WWE’s Performance Center is currently not known but she is expected to start for their NXT brand.
