TNA X-Division Title Match Confirmed for TNA Slammiversary 2024

Thursday’s Impact! show for TNA Wrestling featured “Speedball” Mile Bailey defeating KUSHIDA and Jonathan Gresham in a #1 Contender’s match for the TNA X-Division Championship. This match was setup after Mustafa Ali was initially successful at getting Bailey’s match for his title removed for Slammiversary 2024 leading to a #1 Contender’s match being announced for Thursday’s show.

As a result of his victory, Bailey will officially challenge Ali for the TNA X-Division Championship at Slammiversary 2024, which takes place on July 20th at the Verdun Auditorium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

WWE NXT’s Izzi Dame & No Quarter Catch Crew Make Surprise Appearances at Thursday’s TNA Impact Show

Thursday’s TNA Impact! show also featured WWE NXT talents Izzi Dame and No Quarter Catch Crew’s Myles Borne & Tavion Heights making their surprise appearances.

Dame made her surprise appearance as the mystery challenger for the Open Challenge match for Jordynne Grace’s TNA Knockouts World Championship.

Later in the show, No Quarter Catch Crew’s Borne made his surprise appearance interfering and attacking Trey Miguel during Charlie Dempsey’s match against Zachary Wentz to help out Dempsey for his victory. Following the match, Dempsey & Borne attacked Wentz.

In a follow-up segment, No Quarter Catch Crew’s Heights joined up with Dempsey and Borne backstage boasting about Dempsey’s victory earlier and their actions towards The Rascalz leading to TNA Director of Authority making a match for No Quarter Catch Crew against The Rascalz for next week’s show.


Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

As noted before, Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre Stephanie Vaquer departed from the company this past Wednesday and recently signed a contract with WWE. Following Vaquer’s signing with WWE, Revolution Pro Wrestling recently announced that Vaquer will not longer be making an appearance for the company this August.

TNA Wrestling announced that this year’s Turning Point event will be taking place on November 29th in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It was also announced that this year’s event will air live on TNA+ and will be held as part of this year’s WrestleCade convention.

Major League Wrestling announced that actor Paul Walter Hauser will be making an appearance at their Blood & Thunder 2024 event on July 12th in St. Petersburg, Florida.

MLW also announced that KENTA will be making an appearance for the company at their Summer of the Beasts event on August 29th in Queens, New York.

MLW also recently announced that this year’s Slaughterhouse event will be taking place on October 4th in St. Petersburg, Florida. It was also announced that tickets for this upcoming event will officially go on sale starting on July 23rd.

The National Wrestling Alliance Recently announced that they have recently signed The Slimeballz (Sage Chantz & Tommy Rant) to an exclusive contract with the company.

Coastal Champion Wrestling recently announced that former NWA talent Kamille will be making her return to the company this August.

Marigold announced that Giulia will be releasing a new autobiographical book, titled My Dream, on August 23rd on Amazon.

Josh Barnett recently announced that Josh Woods will be making an appearance for Game Changer Wrestling at their GCW’s Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XI event on July 28th in Brooklyn, New York.

As noted before, former WCW wrestler and booker Kevin Sullivan has been hospitalized in the ICU since this past May due to serious health-related issues. Sullivan’s family recently provided an update on his GoFundMe fundraiser page stating “Just wanted to share a photo from over the weekend. We were able to go outside for a short period and am trying my best to make this a part of his daily routine. Thanks for all the support and well wishes. I am so grateful.

Among the people who have donated to Sullivan’s GoFundMe fundraiser included AEW CEO Tony Khan who donated $10,000 to help assist Sullivan’s medical costs. Sullivan’s fundraiser has raised $50,543 out of an original goal of $20,000 since midnight of Friday, July 12th.
