Wednesday’s New Japan Soul 2024 event in Tokyo, Japan featured four tournament matches for New Japan Pro Wrestling’s G1 Climax Qualifier Tournament.
These matches were YOSHI-HASHI defeating Tomohiro Ishii and Callum Newman defeating KENTA in Semifinal Round matches for A Block and Boltin Oleg defeating Hiroshi Tanahashi and Taichi defeat TJP in Semifinal Round matches for B Block.
YOSHI-HASHI will be facing off against Newman in the Finals of the A Block Qualifier tournament and Oleg will be facing off against Taichi in the Finals of the B Block Qualifier tournament at this Friday’s New Japan Soul 2024 event in Tokyo. The winners of these upcoming matches will advance to the final spots for their respective group blocks in this year’s G1 Climax tournament.

As a result of their losses, this will be the first time since 2001 that Tanahashi will not be competing in a G1 Climax tournament and the first time since 2012 for the same with Ishii.
