Shelton Benjamin Comments on Having “Brief Conversations” with AEW for Potential Deal
A recent episode of the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast featured former WWE talent Shelton Benjamin as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Benjamin confirming that he has had recent talks with AEW.
“I had a brief conversation with AEW. That hasn’t really bore any fruit yet but, I’m still open. TNA, I haven’t spoken with yet. I’m more than willing to work with them, I haven’t talked to them. I know MLW reached out. So, you know, I’ve been presented with options. I just haven’t found something that I’m satisfied with.”

Konnan on AAA’s Working Relationship Issues with AEW & Tony Khan Taking Offense Over Derogatory Comments Made Towards AEW Talent
A recent episode of the Keepin’ It 100 podcast featured co-host and Lucha Libre AAA head booker discussing his thoughts about issues he has had working with AEW Tony Khan and a past incident involving Khan taking offense to comments he made calling a female AEW talent “some chick” for Tay Melo’s replacement at an AAA event.
“Tony got really, really mad about this and I can’t even believe he got mad.
I was thinking to myself, you’ve got so many girls but you’re going to use her.. okay. And then I said on the podcast, I go ‘some chick got (COVID)’ because I’m pretty sure he didn’t want me to say the name. And when he saw me, he goes, ‘What do you mean some chick?’ Like, oh give me a break, dude. So, would you rather have had me say the name?’
It’s not being disrespectful. If you say ‘chick’ I think they know what you mean. ‘Hey, that’s a hot chick,’ is that disrespectful?”
Konnan also gave his thoughts about AAA’s working relationship issues with AEW and claimed that AAA doesn’t need to work with them anymore.
“We’ve been selling out everywhere. We don’t even need AEW, and they’re expensive and it’s hard to deal with them because they pull ’em out at the last minute. I see they haven’t had that problem with Arena Mexico. Whether he’s trying to stick it up… because I don’t put over his thing or he’s just having a good business relationship and it’s easier to work with them, I have no idea …
It (was) even before I started criticizing him. This is from like the very beginning.
I’m going to be very vague with what I’m about to tell you and remember I said it today and very soon you’ll find out what I’m talking about, what comes around goes around. And when it happens, you’re going to go, ‘Okay, now I see what you’re talking about.’ So, have your little fun while you can.”

Hangman Adam Page Gives “Unhinged” AEW Promo on Swerve Strickland
This past Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Southaven, Mississippi featured Hangman Adam Page defeating Jay White to advance to the Finals of this year’s Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.
Following his match, AEW held a digital exclusive backstage interview with Page discussing his “unhinged” thoughts about Bryan Danielson and AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland.
“I told you. Didn’t I tell you? I would win this tournament if it took everything in me. I would give my blood. You know I would give my blood. I’ve done it a thousand times over. I will probably do it a thousand times over again. I would spill every last drop that I have to win this and take away from him. To burn his world down. He broke into my home! He threatened my family! We had to leave. We had to leave our home. Do you understand what that did to me? He never paid for it. He never paid for it! They loved him for it. I gave them everything I had. It’s five years. I gave them every damn thing that I had, and they chose him. They chose him. Next I have Bryan Danielson. Our record is 1-1-1, Bryan. I can tell you this. On the three occasions we met, I was never driven…I’m driven by something completely different now. I was never as driven as I am right now. You can call it justice, you can call it hatred. I don’t give a fuck what you call it. It’s all I have left. I’m going to ruin you. I’m going to burn you alive. There will be nothing left of you. When I’m done, the biggest stage that we have, I am coming for you. I am coming for you.”
