Sammy Guevara AEW Suspension & Return Plans Update

As noted before, Sammy Guevara has been out of action for AEW since this past February due to a suspension over issues regarding him not following proper concussion protocol following Jeff Hardy suffering an injury during their match on the February 14th Rampage show. Guevara’s suspension is currently believed to have expired this past May.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that AEW officials have held recently discussions regarding Guevara making his return to AEW television soon.

It was reported that those spoken to also confirmed that Guevara’s suspension was lifted a couple of months ago.


Trent Beretta Injury Status Update

As noted before, Trent Beretta has been out of action for AEW since this past May’s Double or Nothing 2024 due to an undisclosed injury. Beretta’s angle with Orange Cassidy at this past Saturday’s AEW Collision show was meant to be AEW officials way of writing Beretta out of his feud with Cassidy due to his injury situation.

Beretta provided an update on Twitter on Wednesday revealing that he is currently dealing with arm, shoulder, biceps, and neck related issues.


Current Card for July 19th AEW Rampage, July 20th Collision, & July 24th Dynamite Blood & Guts 2024 Shows

AEW recently announced the full card for this Friday’s AEW Rampage show and several new matches for the cards of this Saturday’s Collision show at the Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington, Texas and next week’s Dynamite Blood & Guts 2024 show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

In regards to this Saturday’s Collision show, two new matches were announced.

The first new match announced was a singles match of Darby Allin vs. The Beast Mortos.

The second new match announced was a Vacant Unified AEW World Trios Championship match of Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson & The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn)) vs. The Patriarchy (Nick Wayne, Killswitch, & Christian Cage).

In regards to next week’s Dynamite Blood & Guts 2024 show, two new matches were announced.

The first new match announced was a FTW Championship match of Minoru Suzuki vs. Chris Jericho (c).

The second new match was a Blood & Guts match of Team AEW (Swerve Strickland, Mark Briscoe, Darby Allin, & The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster)) vs. Team The Elite (Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry, The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson), & Hangman Adam Page)

Current card for July 19th AEW Rampage show:

  • The Lucha Bros (Rey Fenix & Penta El Zero Miedo) vs. Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy)
