All In 2024 Tickets Sales Update – AEW Reportedly Sold Over 45,000 Tickets
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources within AEW disputed WrestleTix’s recent numbers when it comes to the current sales for their upcoming All In 2024 event on August 26th at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
Meltzer reported that a recent update from WrestleTix lists AEW’s event as having currently sold and distributed around 40,434 tickets. Meltzer reported that those within AEW stated that the real number is around 45,000 tickets instead.
Meltzer also reported that those within AEW are currently confident that with everyone getting into the United Kingdom earlier this year and AEW talents doing media longer that they can have a strong last week of sales for their event. AEW officials reportedly also are currently hopeful that ticket sales will start moving more now that the main matches have been set for the event.
In regards to a target goal for ticket sales success, Meltzer reported that this year’s event will not be as successful as last year’s event in terms of ticket sales but AEW’s original goal was 50,000 tickets for this year’s event to be viewed as a success for them.
Forbidden Door 2024 PPV Buys Update
As noted before, AEW was estimated to have generated around 110,000 to 116,0000 pay-per-view buys for early estimates for this past June’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 event in Long Island, New York.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Forbidden Door 2024’s cable television buys are currently down 9.5% compared to this past May’s Double or Nothing 2024 based on the same number of days after the event. Meltzer reported that this would give a new estimated range of 120,000 to 127,000 PPV buys for the event based on updated late buys purchases numbers.
Meltzer reported that Forbidden Door 2024’s PPV buys are currently in the same range as the first two Forbidden Door events but below what last year’s event had generated for final buys.
Meltzer also reported that should Forbidden Door 2024’s late buys purchases grow at the same rate as this past May’s Double or Nothing 2024 event did, then that would push it to over 130,000 buys for the high end range. Meltzer reported that the event is more likely to end up generating the low end range number of slightly over 120,000 due to that type of boost is not likely to happen and streaming buys were around similar to what this past April’s Dynasty event had generated.
