As noted before, Skye Blue suffered an ankle injury at this past Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Arlington, Texas. Besides Blue, Dalton Castle has also been out of action since earlier this month due to a head-related injury, Jay White has been out of action since earlier this month due to an undisclosed injury, and JD Drake has been out of action since this past May due to a foot-related injury.
In regards to Blue’s injury status, the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez reported that his sources confirmed that Blue had suffered a broken ankle injury.
In regards to Castle’s injury status, Alvarez reported that those spoken to stated that Castle did not suffer a concussion injury but something different that will require him to undergo surgery. Details regarding the nature of Castle’s exact injury was not given.
In regards to White’s injury status, Alvarez reported that those spoken to stated that White had suffered a foot injury but AEW officials currently do not expect White to miss a significant amount of time.
Alvarez also reported that Killswitch had suffered an arm injury during his Trios match with Christian Cage & Nick Wayne against the Bang Bang Gang for the Vacant Unified AEW World Trios Championship at this past Saturday’s AEW Collision show. Alvarez reported that the exact nature of Killswitch’s injury is a partially torn biceps based on those spoken to but AEW officials currently expect Killswitch to be able to work through the injury.
In regards to Drake’s injury status, Drake’s Work Horsemen tag team partner Anthony Henry recently provided an update on Twitter that Drake had suffered a torn ligament in his foot. Henry stated “For those wondering… the #workhorsemen will be back soon enough. Our first match back on Collision, @RealDrake, unfortunately tore a ligament in his foot. 2024 hasn’t been kind to us.“
