Quick Match Results

  1. NXT Tag Team Championship #1 Contender Tag Team Turmoil match – Chase U (Andre Chase & Duke Hudson) defeated New Catch Republic (Tyle Bate & Pete Dunne), The O.C. (Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows), Legado Del Fantasma (Angel & Berto), and Edris Enofe & Malik Blade
    • Enofe & Blade and New Catch Republic were the first two teams to start off the match. Bate pinned after New Catch Republic hit a double team Tyler Driver ’97 to eliminate Enofe & Blade.
    • Legado Del Fantasma was the third team to come out. Near the end of the match, Apollo Crews ran out trying to interfere only to be stopped by NXT officials and security. Bate pinned Berto after hitting a Tyler Driver 97 to eliminate Legado.
    • The O.C. was the fourth team to come out. Bate caught Gallows in a roll-up to eliminate The O.C.
    • Chase U was the final team to come out. Near the end of the match, Bate sent Chase over the ropes and attempted to hit a dive to the outside that led to Ridge Holland shoving Chase out of harms way and got hit instead. This led to Chase tossing Bate back into the ring and hit a top rope crossbody for the pinfall victory to end the match.
  2. Wes Lee defeated Joe Coffey via Cardiac Kick (pinfall)
    • Prior to the start of the match, Gallus’ Joe Coffey & Wolfgang came out alongside Coffey to be in his corner.
    • Following the match, Oba Femi interrupted Lee’s victory celebration and stated that Lee has passed his final hurdle and will be granted a NXT North American Championship match at NXT Heatwave 2024 and this will be his final chance.
  3. NXT Heritage Cup Championship – Tony D’Angelo (c) defeated Nathan Frazer, two falls to one fall
    • The D’Angelo Family were in the corner of D’Angelo and Axiom & Dante Chen were in the corner for Frazer.
    • Frazer scored the first point after catching D’Angelo in a roll-up for the pinfall in the first round.
    • D’Angelo tied the score at one point each after hitting a spinebuster to Frazer for the pinfall in the second round.
    • D’Angelo scored the decisive point after hitting a belly to belly suplex to Frazer and followed it with a spinebuster for the pinfall victory in the sixth round.
  4. Roxanne Perez defeated Karmen Petrovic via Pop Rox (pinfall)
    • Prior to the start of the match, Lola Vice came out to the announcer’s table for guest commentary.
    • Following the match, Vice left the commentary and confronted Perez in the ring. Perez attempted to hit Vice only to be quickly laid out instead by Vice’s spinning back fist. Vice grabbed Perez’s NXT Women’s title and left the ring with it.
  5. Tavion Heights defeated Damon Kemp via Belly-to-Belly Suplex (pinfall)
    • Prior to the start of the match, No Quarter Catch Crew’s Charlie Dempsey & Myles Borne came out with Kemp to be in his corner.
    • The stipulation for this match was that if Heights defeated Kemp, then he would officially join No Quarter Catch Crew as their newest member.
  6. NXT Women’s North American Championship #1 Contender match – Sol Ruca defeated Arianna Grace via Sol Snatcher (pinfall)
  7. Shawn Spears defeated Trick Williams via C4 (pinfall)
    • Prior to the start of the match, Ethan Page came out and sat at the announcer’s table for guest commentary.
    • During the match, Oro Mensah ran out and attacked Page at ringside as security ran out to break it up and separate the two.
    • Near the end of the match, a mysterious hooded person ran out from the crowd and was quickly stopped by security and NXT officials. This person was revealed to be Brooks Jensen who tried to fight out of the grasp of security chucking candy at Vic Joseph and ripped off the NXT banner on the top of the announcer’s table. Jensen then accidentally hit Williams in the head on the outside with the banner leading to Spears tossing Williams back into the ring and hit a C4 into the turnbuckles for the pinfall victory.

Chase U Wins Tag Team Turmoil Match for Shot at NXT Tag Titles at NXT Heatwave 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show featured Chase U emerging victorious in a Tag Team Turmoil match to earn a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Heatwave 2024.

This match featured Edris Enofe & Malik Blade, Chase U, New Catch Republic, Legado Del Fantasma, and The O.C. as the competitors.

As a result of their victory, Chase U will officially challenge Axiom & Nathan Frazer for the NXT Tag Team Championship at NXT Heatwave 2024.

Ethan Page & Shawn Spears Added to NXT Title Match at NXT Heatwave 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured one newly updated match for the card of NXT Heatwave 2024.

This newly updated match was a NXT Championship Fatal Four-way match of “All Ego” Ethan Page vs. Shawn Spears vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Trick Williams (c).

During the show, Page came out and made his way to the ring. Page talked about Je’Von Evans winning the battle royal match last week to get a shot at the NXT Championship. Page stated that there is one problem and this is Evans won a battle royal that he was never eliminated from. Page asked “What did Ethan do after that?” and answered his own question stating that he pinned Evans in the middle of the ring. Page stated that NXT title match should be scrapped because Evans needs to be taken out and he needs to be added in. Page then demanded for NXT General Manager Ava to come out to change the match unless she is busy with Trick Williams to make sure that he never gets another title match.

This led to Ava’s music playing and her coming out to the ring. Ava asked Ethan if he thinks he deserves the world and can’t do anything wrong. Page responded stating that he bets on himself and wins and levels up so All Ego is appropriate. Ethan stated that he wants to change the match. Ava responded stating that she does not like it when people back her into a corner and Ethan has a point.

This led to Spears music playing interrupting the two and made his way out to the ring. Spears stated that he can not have Ava making any rash decisions at this moment. Spears stated that he does not have issues with Ethan and they came from the same area and Ethan is following in his footsteps. Spears also stated that Page might have pinned Evans last week but he did the same the week before. Page responded stating that he might have missed the end of the battle royal but you got your ass eliminated by Evans. Spears responded claiming that he will pin Trick Williams and make Ava’s decision a whole lot easier.

This led to Williams’ music playing interrupting Spears and Page and made his way out to the ring. Williams told Spears to sit his goofy ass down and claimed he will beat Spears tonight so he does not know why he is doing all that talking. Williams stated that it does not matter who his opponent at Heatwave, it could be Ethan or Evans, and they will be chanting … Before Williams could finish, Spears attacked Williams and Page joined in leading to Evans running out to save Williams and the two clearing the ring of Spears and Page.

Following Spears’ victory over Williams albeit with outside help by Brooks Jensen, NXT GM Ava, Mr. Stone, and Stevie Turner were seen in Ava’s office. Ava, Stone, and Turner talked about what had just happened and Ava announced that Page and Spears now have compelling cases for the NXT title match. Ava announced that the NXT title match at NXT Heatwave 2024 will now be a Fatal Four-way match of Page vs. Spears vs. Evans vs. Williams.

Wes Lee vs. Oba Femi for NXT North American Title Set for NXT Heatwave 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured the second of four new matches announced for NXT Heatwave 2024.

This new match announced was a NXT North American Championship match of Wes Lee vs. Oba Femi (c).

This match was initially setup in recent weeks over Lee demanding another shot at Femi’s NXT North American title and Femi refusing unless Lee can pass his tests and prove himself worthy.

Following Lee’s victory over Joe Coffey, Femi appeared on the balcony and congratulated Lee for passing his final hurdle and granted him a match for his North American title at NXT Heatwave 2024. Femi stated that this will be Lee’s final shot allowed for his title.

Sol Ruca vs. Kelani Jordan for NXT Women’s North American Title at NXT Heatwave 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured the third of four new matches announced for the card of NXT Heatwave 2024.

This new match announced was a NXT Women’s North American Championship match of vs. Kelani Jordan.

This match was setup following Sol Ruca defeating Arianna Grace in a #1 Contender’s match for the NXT Women’s North American title.

Lola Vice vs. Roxanne Perez for NXT Women’s Title Set for NXT Heatwave 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured the fourth of four new matches announced for the card of NXT Heatwave 2024, which takes place on July 7th at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

This new match announced was a NXT Women’s Championship match of Lola Vice vs. Roxanne Perez (c).

This match was initially setup in recent weeks over Vice wanting to be the next challenger for Roxanne Perez’s title at NXT Heatwave 2024.

Following Perez’s victory over Karmen Petrovic on tonight’s show, Vice went into the ring and confronted Perez. After a brief exchange of words, Perez attempted to attack Vice only to be laid out after being hit with a spinning back fist by Vice. Vice grabbed Perez’s title and walked out of the ring with it.

In a follow-up segment, NXT GM Ava was seen talking to Carlee Bright and Kendal Gray and granted Bright a rematch with Wendy Choo next week. After Bright and Gray left, Vice showed up and placed the NXT Women’s title on Ava’s desk. Vice stated that she will give back the title but she wants a match for it at NXT Heatwave 2024.

In another follow-up segment, an angry Perez stormed into Ava’s office and yelled at Ava and grabbed her NXT Women’s title back. Ava responded back talking about Perez tried to do to Vice earlier and stated that she can get her revenge on Lola when she defends her title at NXT Heatwave 2024. Perez stormed out of the office in anger over the news.
