WWE: Humberto Carrillo’s Contract Expiring This Summer, A&E WWE Ratings, Current Plans for AJ Styles vs. Cody Rhodes Rematch for Clash at the Castle 2024

Humberto Carrillo’s WWE Contract Set to Expire This August

As noted before, Legado Del Fantasma’s Angel’s contract with WWE is currently set to expire on August 1st.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that besides Angel, Legado’s Humberto Carrillo’s contract with WWE is also currently set to expire on the same day.

Similar to Angel, it was reported that Carrillo and WWE officials have also been in recent talks for a potential new deal and an offer is currently on the table for him.

Carrillo has been working in WWE since October of 2018.


A&E WWE Programming Ratings – June 2, 2024

This past Sunday’s Biography: WWE Legends episode drew 288,000 viewers on A&E. This episode also drew a 0.08 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a #40 key demographic ranking.

This was up compared to last week’s episode’s 218,000 viewers and 0.05 rating.

This episode focused on Ricky Steamboat.

AJ Styles vs. Cody Rhodes Rematch for Undisputed WWE Title Currently Planned for Clash at the Castle 2024

As noted before, this past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Albany, New York featured AJ Styles performing a fake retirement speech and attacked Cody Rhodes in reminiscence of the classic Mark Henry fake retirement speech moment in 2013 in WWE.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that WWE officials currently have scheduled for Styles’ rematch with Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship to take place at their Clash at the Castle 2024 event on June 15th at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.

Meltzer reported that WWE’s official announcement for this match could come as early as Monday, which did not happen, and more likely at this Friday’s SmackDown show.
