Drew McIntyre Comments on 10-year Anniversary of His WWE Release & Growth of His Career

Drew McIntyre reflected on Twitter about today being the ten-year anniversary of his original release from WWE and the growth of his career over the past decade.

Following his release in 2012, McIntyre worked for TNA/Impact Wrestling and the indies until his return to WWE in 2017 and has continued working in the company since then.


The Rock Suffered Elbow Injury During Smashing Machine Movie Filming

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced on Instagram that he recently suffered an elbow injury during his current filming for the production of the upcoming Smashing Machine biopic film.

Ricochet Expiring WWE Contract Status Update

As noted before, Ricochet is currently expected to be leaving WWE once his contract expires this summer, which is believed to be somewhere in the first half of this summer. This past Monday’s WWE RAW show was Ricochet’s final scheduled appearance for WWE.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Ricochet’s current status with WWE has not changed but WWE officials are currently considering plans for one last final appearance for him on WWE programming.

Johnson reported that WWE’s Creative team have been working on plans for a potential one more appearance for Ricochet to capitalize on all of the attention he has been receiving this past week over the news of his contract status and pending exit. Johnson reported that it is currently not known what Ricochet would be doing for this final appearance.

Johnson also reported that Ricochet himself had agreed that there is still time left to do something else with his character in WWE before he officially leaves the company. Johnson reported that it is currently not known if WWE officials would even entertain the idea from their creative team for Ricochet.
