Toni Storm Challenges Mina Shirakawa to Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024

Sunday’s event for Stardom in Tokyo, Japan featured one new potential match announced for the card of AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Forbidden Door 2024 event, which takes place on June 30th at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.

This new potential match is a singles match of “Timeless” Toni Storm vs. Mina Shirakawa.

During Stardom’s event, Shirakawa was in the ring and the lights went out and when it came back on, a video featuring Storm and Mariah May aired on the big screen. Storm gave a promo directed at Shirakawa stating that she has noticed Shirakawa coming to May’s aid whenever she is not around. Storm then stated that she has “opened the forbidden door” and issued a challenge to Shirakawa for a match at Forbidden Door 2024. Storm stated that while any friend of May is a friend of hers, she wants to see what kind of woman Shirakawa really is.

Following the video, Shirakawa responded accepting Storm’s challenge and stated that everyone wants her and she would face Storm anywhere at any time. Shirakawa then copied Storm’s catchphrase ending with her saying “Watch out for me.”
