Toni Storm Declares Mariah May for 2024 Women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournament
Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Council Bluffs, Iowa featured Mariah May being announced as the next official competitor for this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament.
Following “Timeless” Toni Storm’s victory over Lady Frost, Storm sat on the apron and asked for May to sit right next to her, which May did. Storm talked about how May might be feeling awkward over her friendship with with Mina Shirakawa and how she will be facing off against May’s best friend. Storm then stated that she wants to give May all of the opportunities and demanded that she be entered into this year’s Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament and pointed to the big screen which showed a graphic for this year’s tournament. This led to a tearful happy reaction from May over Storm’s request. Storm stated that she will be there the whole way for May in the tournament and the two proceeded to walk to the back but not before embracing each other on the way first.

Vacant TNT Title Ladder Qualifying Match Set for June 12th AEW Dynamite Show
Saturday’s AEW Collision show in Council Bluffs also featured one new qualifying match announced for the Vacant TNT Championship Ladder match for this week’s AEW Dynamite show on June 12th in Des Moines, Iowa.
This match announced was Dustin Rhodes vs. Jack Perry.
This match was setup following a promo segment involving Rhodes. Following his victory over Johnny TV, Rhodes called out Perry and proceeded to talk about his disgust of Perry since his return to AEW over him joining The Elite and his heinous attack on Tony Khan. Rhodes claimed that Perry was born with a silver spoon in his mouth and knew nothing about sacrifice before delivering a “Hard Times” inspired speech. Rhodes then revealed that he will be facing off against Perry at next week’s Dynamite show.

Later in the show, AEW commentator Tony Schiavone announced during the card rundown for next week’s Dynamite show that this match will be held as a qualifier for the TNT Championship Ladder match at Forbidden Door 2024.

Current Card for June 15th AEW Collision One-Year Anniversary Show
AEW announced two new matches for the card of this week’s AEW Collision One-Year Anniversary show on June 15th at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio.
These matches were all setup following promo segments and match graphic announcements throughout the show.
In regards to the new matches, the first new match announced was a Vacant TNT Championship Ladder Qualifier match of Lee Moriarty vs. Dante Martin.
The second new match announced was a No Disqualification match of Deonna Purrazzo vs. Thunder Rosa.
In regards to the new non-match announcements, it was announced that this week’s show will featured a Christian Cage Father’s Day Special and House of Black making their return to Collision.
