Following Strickland & Prince Nana and Ospreay coming out to the ring, the crowd gave dueling chants for both guys. Ospreay was the first to speak talking about Strickland’s comments towards him last week and stated he is very capable of carrying both titles. Ospreay boasted about holding three different titles across five different continents at the same time and Swerve will find out that he is the best wrestler in the world today. Strickland responded stating that Ospreay messed up because Swerve is the best wrestler in the world. Strickland talked about their career history and paths and how they will collide in the main event of Forbidden Door. Strickland boasted about the success he has had on his own and claimed Ospreay will need Don Callis’ help like he did last year against Kenny Omega.

Ospreay responded stating that he does not need Callis and he won’t need him at Forbidden Door. After some more words and insults by Ospreay, Ospreay stated that Swerve should be thankful he does not have to face the pain of a Tiger Driver 91 because if he did, he wouldn’t walk out of the arena alive.

Strickland responded back with some insults and mocked Ospreay for making his friends while he has abandoned his friends to get to where he is as AEW World Champion. Strickland continues to run Ospreay down, bringing up his son…which really riles up Ospreay, who tells the champ never to bring up his child again and not to make this personal.

Prince Nana got in between the heated staredown and stated that this is not the place or the time and hyped up their match at Forbidden Door. Nana then asked whose house this is, which led to Ospreay interrupting stating that it was his and left the ring. This led to an upset Strickland telling production to shut off Ospreay’s music and stated that when it comes to the AEW World Championship, it is always personal. Strickland told Ospreay that when you go home, send my regards to your soon.
