  1. AEW International Championship #1 Contender Four-way match – Rey Fenix defeated Jay Lethal, Orange Cassidy, & Kyle O’Reilly via Inside Cradle (pinfall)
    • Fenix pinned Lethal after catching Lethal in a roll-up to counter Lethal’s Figure Four attempt.
    • Following the match, Trent Beretta & Don Callis came out to confront Cassidy leading to Callis sliding a chair to Beretta to use on Cassidy and Cassidy responding grabbing chains from under the ring to use as a weapon. This led to Kris Statlander running out and confronted Cassidy while Stokely Hathaway stated that Statlander was going to shove her foot up Cassidy’s butt. Statlander then laid out Cassidy with a punch leading to Willow Nightingale running out to confront Statlander and cleared her out of the ring.
  2. Vacant TNT Championship Ladder Eliminator Qualifying match – Mark Briscoe defeated Brian Cage via Froggy Bow (pinfall)
  3. Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Bryan Danielson, & Jon Moxkey) defeated Magnus, Volador Jr., Rugido, & Esfinge via Seatbelt (pinfall)
    • Yuta pinned Volador Jr. after catching Volador Jr. in a Seatbelt roll-up to give the BCC the victory over Team CMLL.
  4. Saraya defeated Mariah May via PTO (submission)
    • Prior to the start of the match, “Timeless” Toni Storm & Luther came out alongside May while The Outcasts’ Harley Cameron and Zak Knight did the same for Saraya.
    • Following the match, Storm left the commentary table and rushed at Saraya in the ring only to get attacked instead. This led to Mina Shirakawa running out to save May and Storm and cleared the ring of the Outcasts. Shirakawa then tended to May causing Storm to become jealous and Storm & Shirakawa getting into a heated confrontation that was stopped by May.
  5. AEW Championship match – Swerve Strickland (c) defeated Roderick Strong via House Call (pinfall)
    • Prior to the start of the match, The Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven & Mike Bennett came out alongside Strong while Prince Nana did the same for Strickland.

MJF Gives His Dynamite Return Speech Calling Out Will Ospreay & Others & Brawls with RUSH

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured MJF giving his first promo on Dynamite since returning from a shoulder injury.

During the start of the show, MJF came out to the ring and proceeded to talk about being in Colorado implying he smoked some weed before coming out and did some schilling for his new merchandise and Forbidden Door before turning his attention towards The Elite, mocking the group and Kazuchika Okada. MJF then turned his attention and proceeded to mock Swerve Strickland stating that he was offended Strickland calls himself a business mogul saying that he either didn’t go to business school or missed courses in public speaking. MJF then turned his attention towards Will Ospreay and stated that the most offensive thing he saw was Ospreay calling himself the “Best in the World.” MJF then listed all the notable big star men in AEW that Ospreay didn’t beat and reminded everyone that he beat each and every one of them and claimed that makes him the “Best in the World.”

MJF then stated that he became the “Face of AEW” with the best matches and interviews in the company and went from being the most hated man in the company to the most beloved. After some more words, RUSH’s music interrupted MJF and came out to the stage. RUSH insulted the crowd and stated that MJF is like these fans in that he never shuts up. RUSH stated that while MJF was out injured, he has been working hard and winning. RUSH also stated that MJF comes back to a celebration and asked where is his celebration. RUSH stated that he feels he deserves that spotlight so he is going to take it because when you mess with the bull, you get the horns. MJF responded insulting RUSH and stating that he didn’t catch anything El Toro Blanco just said and insulted The Elite again for making things worse around here in terms of production. MJF asked RUSH to say that again which RUSH attempted to do before interrupting RUSH saying that he doesn’t give a shit what he says. After some words by MJF referencing their past history in AEW, MJF stated that RUSH might be an international superstar and has beaten some of the best in the business but the problem is MJF isn’t one of the best and instead he is the best. MJF proceeded to insults RUSH in Spanish leading to RUSH charging to the ring and a brawl breaking out that led to AEW officials and security rushing out to put an end to it and separating the two.


Rey Fenix Wins Shot at AEW International Title for Next Week’s Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Rey Fenix defeating Jay Lethal, Orange Cassidy, and Kyle O’Reilly in a four-way match to determine the next challenger for Will Ospreay’s AEW International Championship.

As a result of his victory, Fenix will challenge Ospreay for the AEW International title at next week’s show on June 12th in Des Moines, Iowa.


Mark Briscoe Advances to Vacant TNT Title Ladder Match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured one qualifying match for the Vacant TNT Championship Ladder match at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024.

This qualifying match was Mark Briscoe defeating Brian Cage.

As a result of his victory, Briscoe joins Konosuke Takeshita to have officially qualified for the Vacant TNT Championship Ladder match at Forbidden Door 2024.


Mercedes Mone vs. Stephanie Vaquer, Title vs. Title Match Announced for Forbidden Door 2024

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured the first of two new matches announced for the card of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024.

This new match announced was a TBS Championship and NJPW Strong Women’s Championship Title vs. Title match of Mercede Mone (TBS) vs. Stephanie Vaquer (NJPW Strong Women’s).

This match was initially setup during last week’s show following Vaquer making a surprise appearance and having a staredown with Mone.

During tonight’s show, it was announced that this match was made official for Forbidden Door 2024 and it will be as a Title vs. Title match with both the TBS and NJPW Strong Women’s titles being on the line. Besides the announcement, AEW also aired a video hyping up the match featuring comments from Mone.


AEW Women’s Title Match Set for Forbidden Door 2024

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured the second of two new matches announced for the card of AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024, which takes place on June 30th at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.

This new match announced was an AEW Women’s World Championship match of Mina Shirakawa vs. “Timeless” Toni Storm (c).

This match was initially setup during Stardom’s show this past Sunday in Tokyo, Japan following Storm issuing a challenge to Shirakawa and Shirakawa accepting.

During tonight’s show, Storm confronted The Outcasts following Saraya’s victory over Mariah May resulting in a brawl breaking out and The Outcasts getting the upper hand over Storm. This led to Stardom’s Shirakawa running out to save May and Storm and cleared the ring of The Outcasts. Shirakawa then grabbed May and put her head to her bosom leading to Storm taking offense and Shirakawa and Storm butting chests before being separated by May who put both of their heads to her bosom to end their issues. A graphic then aired on the big screen making Storm and Shirakawa’s match official for Forbidden Door leading to Shirakawa and Storm grabbing May away from the other and trying to put her head on their respective bosom area.
