    • Near the end of the match, Corbin attempted to hit an End of Days to Hayes only for Hayes to escape and catch Corbin with an Inside Cradle roll-up for the pinfall victory.

    • Near the end of the match, Solo Sikoa attempted to interfere only for Dawkins to punch him off the apron and Montezt Ford followed by taking out Tonga Loa and Sikoa with a plancha on the outside. Dawkins then hit a Sky High to Tonga for a near fall. Dawkins then got distracted after Loa and Sikoa attacked Ford on the outside leading to Tonga grabbing Dawkins from behind and hit a leaping Flatliner for the pinfall victory.

Logan Paul vs. Cody Rhodes for US Title & Undisputed WWE Title Announced for King & Queen of the Ring 2024

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show featured one new match officially announced for the card of King & Queen of the Ring 2024, which takes place on May 25th at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

This new match announced was a WWE United States Championship and Undisputed WWE Championship match of Logan Paul (US) vs. Cody Rhodes (WWE).

This match was setup following an in-ring promo segment involving SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, Rhodes, and Paul.

During the show, SmackDown GM Aldis welcomed everyone and called for Rhodes to come out to the ring, which Rhodes did. Aldis stated that Rhodes wants to be a fighting champion and defend his title against the very best as often as he can. Aldis stated that Rhodes’ next challenger for his title at King & The Queen of the Ring 2024 event has already been determined and there was no better time to introduce this person than now, which was revealed to be Paul.

This led to Paul making his way to the ring and after some brief banter between Paul and Rhodes over Rhodes’ usual “So, what do you want to talk about” routine, Paul stated that they are going to main event the King & Queen of the Ring 2024 event in a Champion vs. Champion match to truly kick off the “Logan Paul Levesque Era.”

Rhodes responded stating that a “Champion vs. Champion is a challenge he likes and holding not one but two …” Before Rhodes could finish, Paul interrupted Rhodes and stated that facts do not care about Rhodes’ feelings and nor does he. Paul proceeded to brag about him being the current longest reigning champion in WWE, being the greatest attraction in the company, having the greatest rookie year of all time, and being a real superstar. Paul also claimed that people talked more about his viral moments at Royal Rumble 2023 and WrestleMania 40 than Rhodes’s Royal Rumble and WWE title victories. After some more words, Paul asked how Rhodes can finish the story when its not even his story. Paul claimed that he will knockout Rhodes and pin him on top of his logo to walk out of Saudi Arabia as the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

Following some insults and praise by Rhodes to Paul, Rhodes stated that if they are going over facts, then the fact is if Rhodes were to win the United States Championship, that would make him a WWE Grand Slam Champion. Before Paul had a chance to respond, Rhodes interrupted him and proceeded to continue his insults directed at Paul and stated that Paul can not go a single match without using his brass knuckles. Rhodes stated that this is a team and at King & Queen of the Ring 2024 in Saudi Arabia, Paul will find out where he stands on that time. Rhodes then held up his Undisputed WWE title while Paul did the same with his U.S. title to close things out.

Solo Sikoa Declares Himself as Interim Tribal Chief at Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s SmackDown show also featured Solo Sikoa revealing that he has taken over as the official interim Tribal Chief of The Bloodline.

During the show, The Bloodline minus Paul Heyman were seen backstage in their locker room. A nervous Heyman walked in and asked for a moment alone with Sikoa, leading to Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa walking away. Heyman stated that he knows his place in life and he is Roman’s “wise man.” Following a loud “We want Roman” chant from the crowd, Sikoa stated that Heyman lied and pulled Roman Reigns out of the WWE Draft. Sikoa stated that was a mistake that caused them to get drafted third instead of in the first round. Sikoa claimed that it is like Heyman is trying to take money out of his pocket and food from his kids, which led to Heyman giving a terrified reaction in his face. Sikoa stated that Heyman walked by his brother Jey Uso and looked like he gave him a signal that he needed help. Heyman pleaded back stating that he didn’t and Sikoa responding stating that he knows Heyman is just trying to protect the Bloodline.

Sikoa stated that he knows Heyman has not spoken to Reigns since Reigns’ lost “their” title at WrestleMania 40. Sikoa then stated that he has spoken to Reigns resulting in Heyman giving a shocked look on his face. Sikoa stated that until Reigns comes back, he will be in charge of the Bloodline and Heyman will be his “wise man.” Sikoa stated that this is by the order of the Tribal Chief, implying he gave the order. Sikoa asked for a hug from Heyman which led to Heyman giving one in return. Sikoa then gave a menacing look and stated “I love you, Wise Man.”

Carmelo Hayes, Tama Tonga, & Randy Orton Advances in 2024 King of the Ring Tournament

Friday’s SmackDown show also featured three First Round matches for the SmackDown side of the bracket for this yearโ€™s King of the Ring tournament.

The first tournament match was Carmelo Hayes defeating Baron Corbin.

The second tournament match was Tama Tonga defeating Angelo Dawkins.

The third tournament match was Randy Orton defeating AJ Styles.

As a result of their victories, Hayes, Tonga, and Orton advanced to the next round of this yearโ€™s King of the Ring tournament.
