Seth Rollins Reportedly Signed New Long-term WWE Contract

As noted before, Seth Rollins’ contract with WWE is currently set to expire this June.

Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Rollins had recently signed a new contract with WWE.

It was reported that this new contract is for multiple years in length and worth a lot of money.

One source spoken to close to Rollins and WWE reportedly stated that WWE officials were never going to let Rollins leave for another company. Another source spoken to reportedly stated that this new deal should have happened a lot sooner by they are happy it had been dealt with in the end.

It was reported that there was a big outside interest in Rollins for his free agency but it has yet to be confirmed from their sources if notable companies such as AEW or New Japan Pro Wrestling had made concrete offers to him.


Dominik Mysterio Elbow Injury Status Update

As noted before, Dominik Mysterio has been out of action for WWE since this past mid-April due to an elbow injury.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Mysterio recently informed others that he currently expects to be medically cleared and back to in-ring action in around six to eight weeks.

Mysterio reportedly will not be undergoing surgery and instead opted to rehab his injury through physical therapy.


Ricochet Wins WWE Speed Title Tournament to be Crowned Inaugural Champion

Friday’s special episode of WWE Speed on Twitter featured Ricochet defeating Johnny Gargano in the Finals of the WWE Speed Championship tournament to be crowned the inaugural WWE Speed Champion.

It was announced that a #1 Contender’s tournament will be held starting with next wee’s WWE Speed show on May 8th.

This upcoming four-man tournament was announced to be featuring Apollo Crews, Ivar, Tyler Bate, and Berto as the official competitors and the winner to face off against Ricochet for his WWE Speed Championship at a future date.

Following Ricochet’s title victory, WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque congratulated Ricochet on Twitter and posted a backstage photo of him giving his signature finger point to Ricochet, which Levesque typical does for new signings and champions.
