WWE: Asuka Taking Break from WWE to Treat Knee Injury, Carmella Dealing with Drop Foot Issues, New CyberFight President Wants to Strengthen Relationship with WWE

Asuka Knee Injury Update – Asuka Confirms Injury & Taking Break from WWE for Injury Recovery

As noted before, Asuka has been out of action for WWE since this past March due to a knee injury. Asuka was later pulled from this year’s Queen of the Ring tournament and replaced with Dakota Kai due to her injury situation.

Asuka recently provided an update in a new video posted on her official YouTube channel confirming her injury and stated that she is currently taking a break from WWE to get treatment and recover from her injury.

“After the Backlash of my European tour, I had to take a break to treat my knee that I had been hurting for a while. My partners Kairi and Dakota helped me a lot during this tour as I could not move at my best. I am very grateful to both of them …

See you soon.”

Carmella Comments on Dealing with Drop Foot Issues & Still Hopeful for WWE Return

Carmella has been out of action for WWE since early 2023 due to maternity reasons.

A recent episode of the Nikki & Brie Show podcast featured Carmella as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Carmella’s thoughts about dealing with drop foot issues following her pregnancy and still being hopeful of making an in-ring return in the future.

“Of course. I miss the fans. I miss performing. I fell in love with that and have been doing it for 11 years. More than anything, I want to prove to myself, ‘I can go through this insane experience of labor, delivering, pregnancy, and my body is completely different from the inside out,’ but I’d love to go back and prove that I can. No one else, just to myself. Unfortunately, I’ve been dealing with, what is called drop foot. I have an injury from labor and delivery and pushing the baby out. I have herniated discs in my back, which push on this nerve that is connected to my right foot. The top of my foot, it’s hard to lift. I’m literally limping around everywhere. It’s gotten better, but I’ve been wrestling for 11 years, and other than some concussions, knock on wood, never had any injuries. Now, I have a major injury from delivering my son.”
