TNA Wrestling held a new set of television tapings this past Saturday and Sunday at the MegaCorp Pavilion in Newport, Kentucky.
This new set of tapings focused on the build for this June’s Against All Odds event and will be for future episodes of TNA Impact!
In regards to notable moments from the tapings, one championship changed hands at the tapings. This title change was AJ Francis defeating Laredo Kid to become the new TNA Digital Media Champion. This was Francis’ first ever major championship victory in his wrestling career.
In regards to notable surprise appearances, Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that former AEW talent and manager Jose The Assistant was in attendance at the tapings. Jose The Assistant reportedly met with Tommy Dreamer for “unspecified reasons.”

- TNA Knockouts World Championship – Jordynne Grace (c) defeated Allysin Kay
- TNA Digital Media Championship – AJ Francis defeated Laredo Kid (c)
Other spoilers notes from TNA’s weekend tapings:
- Matt Hardy was in attendance at Saturday’s taping but was absent at Sunday’s taping. the taping on Saturday, but not Sunday.
- Former AEW talent Jose The Assistant was in attendance at the tapings. Also in attendance was All Japan Pro Wrestling talent Lord Crewe.
- Shazza McKenzie worked in a match taped for TNA Xplosion at Saturday’s tapings and replaced Ash By Elegance for Elegance’s match against Gisele Shaw at Sunday’s tapings.
- Jake Something and Cody Deaner reunited as a team tag following their segment from the May 16th Impact show.
- Canadian indies tag team Sinner & Saint (Judas Icarus & Travis Williams) competed in a match against The Good Hands (Jason Hotch & John Skyler) at the tapings.
