PWInsider and Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE’s office staff was impacted by a new round of layoffs earlier today at WWE’s headquarters.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that there were a “few” layoffs and included some long-tenured WWE employees being laid off. One source spoken to reportedly stated that more than one department of the company was affected by the newest round of layoffs.
Johnson reported that it is currently not known if this newest round of layoffs is directly related to TKO Group’s announcement earlier today of them merging WWE and UFC’s live events divisions into a single division going forward.
In regards to notable employees released, Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that those spoken to stated that WWE Senior Vice President, Entertainment Relations Kristin Prouty was among those laid off today. Prior to her departure, Prouty had been with WWE since 2000.
Sapp reported that WWE Manager Of Talent Operations And Appearances Tavia Hartley was also confirmed to have been among those laid off. Prior to her release, Hartley had been with WWE since 2021.
Sapp also reported that it is currently not known if this new round of layoffs will also include talent releases.
