Jordynne Grace Makes Surprise Appearance at Tuesday’s NXT Show & Challenging Roxanne Perez for NXT Women’s Title at NXT Battleground 2024

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured current TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace making a surprise appearance in NXT and the official announcement of Grace vs. Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Battleground 2024.

During the show NXT Women’s Champion Perez came out to the ring. Perez grabbed a microphone and stated that she wants everyone to acknowledge that she is the only woman in WWE who has appreciated this title from the beginning. Perez stated that she has seen this title go from waist to waist and were held by women who only used it as a vehicle or stepping stone to get bigger results. Perez then talked about how at 13 years old, she started training for the NXT Women’s title and no one can say they were working for this title for nine years. Perez then stated that this title represents future greatness for many but for her, it means present greatness. After some more words, Perez demanded to know who will be her opponent for her title at Battleground.

This led to NXT GM Ava coming out and stated that she does not know why Roxanne is doing this “Roxanne against the World” thing and she never said that Roxanne is a bad champion. Ava then asked Perez if she will even be champion after Battleground and stated that she will be defending her title against …

This led to Grace’s music playing and making her surprise appearance. Grace walked into the ring and grabbed a microphone as the crowd kept chanting “Holy shit” and “TNA”. Grace stated that some may remember her from the Rumble earlier this year but for those that don’t, she wants to officially introduce herself. Graces stated that she is the TNA Knockouts Champion and Roxanne is a great champion and had built her name in NXT the same way she has in TNA. After some words, Grace stated that she will be challenging Perez for her NXT Women’s title and claimed that she will leave Las Vegas as a double champion.

This was Grace’s first appearance in WWE since this past January’s Royal Rumble 2024 event.
