  1. House of the Dragon Who’s House match – Swerve Strickland defeated Killswitch via House Call (pinfall)
    • Near the end of the match, Strickland hit a House Call to Killswitch and followed it with a Swerve Stomp for a near fall that surprised Strickland. Strickland then hit another House Call to put down Killswitch for good for the pinfall victory.
    • Following the match, Strickland grabbed scissors and cut off a lock of Killswitch’s hair in revenge for The Patriarchy cutting off a piece of his hair a few weeks prior.
  2. IWGP World Championship Eliminator match – Jon Moxley defeated Rocky Romero via Death Rider (pinfall)
  3. TBS Championship – Mercedes Mone (c) defeated Skye Blue via Mone Maker (pinfall)
    • Following the match, Mone’s victory celebration was cut short by Stephanie Vaquer’s music and Vaquer came out to the stage. Vaquer and Mone stared down each other ending with Vaquer holding up her NJPW Strong Women’s title and Mone holding up her TBS title.
  4. AEW World Championship #1 Contender Forbidden Door Casino Gauntlet match – Will Ospreay won, via Oscutter to Orange Cassidy
    • The rules of this match were that two competitors would come out to start and a new competitors to come out at intervals with the maximum being 21. This match could also end at any time with whoever scored the first pinfall or submission regardless of how many competitors come out beforehand.
    • The first two competitors to start off the match were Jay White and PAC. The next competitors in order were Mistico, Will Ospreay, Shota Umino, Claudio Castagnoli, Lio Rush, Orange Cassidy, and Hechicero.
    • Near the end of the match, Cassidy attempted to hit an Orange Punch to Ospreay who dodged out of the way and hit an Oscutter in return for the pinfall victory.
    • Following the match, Ospreay’s victory celebration was cut short by Swerve Strickland who came out to the ring and had a staredown with his new challenger for his AEW World title.

Skye Blue Reveals She was Mystery Attacker of Mercedes Mone at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured Skye Blue revealing that she was the mystery attacker of Mercedes Mone several weeks ago.

During the show, Mercedes Mone came out for her TBS Championship celebration party. Mone greeted the crowd telling them to say hello to their CEO and new TBS Champion. Mone asked if she was worth the wait and stated that money changes everything and that is exactly what she did at Double or Nothing. Mone stated that not only did we celebrate five years of AEW, but we also celebrated the in-ring return of the “greatest of all-time” Mercedes. Mercedes then stated that she was proud to say that she and Willow tore down the house and praised Nightingale for taking the fight to her but also called her too nice. Mone talked about Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway betrayal of Nightingale and stated that she hopes when Nightingale comes back, she beats them both up. After some more words, Skye Blue showed up on the big screen interrupting Mone and stated that she had a gift for the champion. This was revealed to be a video of Mone’s backstage interview a few weeks back that ended with Mone being attacked by a mysterious person. Blue revealed that she was that person stating that it was some of her best work but the best is yet to come. This led to Blue running out and attacked Mone from being laying her out. Blue then held up Mone’s TBS title before leaving the ring.

In a follow-up segment, AEW commentator Tony Schiavone stated that he had a big announcement to give from AEW CEO Tony and revealed that Mone will be defending her TBS title against Blue later on tonight’s show.


Stephanie Vaquer Makes Surprise Appearance at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show & Confirmed for Forbidden Door

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre talent Stephanie Vaquer making a surprise AEW debut appearance.

During the show, a vignette aired hyping up Vaquer’s upcoming arrival in AEW. AEW commentator Excalibur announced that Vaquer will be making an appearance at next month’s Forbidden Door 2024 event in Long Island, New York.

In a follow-up segment, Vaquer’s music interrupted Mercedes Mone’s victory celebration following Mone’s victory over Skye Blue to retain her TBS Championship. Vaquer came out to the stage and stared down Mone ending with Vaquer holding up her NJPW Strong Women’s title and Mone holding up her TBS title.


Trent Beretta Joins Don Callis Family at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Trent Beretta officially joining the Don Callis Family.

During the show, Don Callis came out and stated that what he held in his hand was worth more than gold and diamonds. After some more bragging by Callis about his contract for the Don Callis Family being the most important thing someone can receive, Callis called out Orange Cassidy to come out to the ring.

Cassidy proceeded to come out to the ring and Callis stated that this is the moment we have all been waiting for. Callis then asked Orange if he should do this with his hand in his pocket and stated that Cassidy is a star wherever he goes. After some more words, Callis handed the contract to Cassidy and stated that he already filled everything out for Cassidy. Cassidy took the contract and slowly ripped it up in front of Callis leading to an shocked reaction from Callis in return. Cassidy then grabbed a microphone and told Callis “No” resulting in Callis grabbing the microphone back and stated that no one says no to Don Callis.

Before anything else could happen, Stokely Hathaway and Kris Statlander came out and interrupted. After some insults by Hathaway, Statlander stated that on behalf of her “Best Friend” she accepts the invitation to the Don Callis Family. This “Best Friend” was revealed to be Beretta who appeared in the corner and ambush attacked Cassidy laying him out. After some more attacks, Beretta stretched out his arms for a hug leading to a happy Callis running towards him and the two hugged it out. Callis and Beretta then attacked Cassidy busting him up open before leaving the ring together.


Kris Statlander Explains Her Reason for Her Betrayal of Willow Nightingale

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Kris Statlander explains her reasons why she turned against Willow Nightingale and attacked her at Double or Nothing 2024.

During the show, Stokely Hathaway and Statlander were seen backstage and shoved Renee Paquette away who was trying to get a word on an update over Orange Cassidy’s medical condition after his attack earlier. Hathaway grabbed Paquette’s microphone and proceeded to insults Nightingale and stated that he remembers what Statlander has had to put up with the past few months. Hathaway stated that Statlander came back to back ACL injuries when others in AEW’s Women’s locker room don’t want to show up for work after getting a cold. Statlander responded and aired her grievances stating how much she has been expected to help everyone else out lately. Statlander then stated that she is “more than a woman” and is tired of being everyone’s protector and that everyone is now going to need protection from her.


Will Ospreay vs. Swerve Strickland for AEW World Title Set for Forbidden Door 2024

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show also featured Will Ospreay winning a shot at Swerve Strickland’s AEW World Championship at AEW & NJPW’s Forbidden Door 2024 event, which takes place on June 30th at the UBS Arena in Long Island, New York.

This match was setup following Ospreay pinning Orange Cassidy in a #1 Contender Forbidden Door Casino Gauntlet match for the AEW World title.

This match featured Ospreay, Cassidy, Jay White, PAC, Mistico, Shota Umino, Claudio Castagnoli, Lio Rush, and Hechicero as the competitors.

Following the match, Strickland came out to the ring and had a staredown with his new challenger for his AEW World title as the show ended.
