Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal match – Bronson Reed won via last eliminating Ivar
Elektra Lopez defeated Zelina Vega via Elektra Shock (pinfall)
- Prior to the start of the match, Dominik Mysterio & Andrade came out alongside Santos Escobar & Lopez.
- Near the end of the match, Dominik got on the apron to distract Vega leading to Rey Mysterio yanking Dominik off the apron. This led to Vega being distracted and getting attacked by Lopez who hit a chokebomb for the victory.
- Following the match, Escobar & Dominik attacked Rey while Andrade looked on. After some more beatings, Andrade turned on Escobar & Dominik and cleared the ring of them. Andrade then went up to Rey and shook hands.
New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne) defeated A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller & Austin Theory) via Burning Hammer (pinfall)
- Bate pinned Waller after Bate and Dunne hit a double team Burning Hammer to give their team the victory.
- Following the match, Judgement Day ran out from the crowd and attacked New Catch Republic, Waller, and Theory laying all of them out and standing tall in the ring.
Jey Uso defeated Solo Sikoa via Disqualification
- Near the end of the match, Jimmy Uso got into the ring and attacked Jey resulting in the referee calling for the ball.
- Following the match, Jimmy and Sikoa attacked Jey leading to Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins running out to save Jimmy and cleared the ring of the Bloodline. Rhodes then gave a promo claiming him and Rollins were going to beat The Rock & Roman Reigns on Night 1 of WrestleMania 40 and then he will do the same again on Night 2 against Reigns.

Bronson Reed Wins 2024 Andre The Giant Battle Royal Match at Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show featured Bronson Reed emerging victorious in this year’s Andre The Giant Battle Royal match.

This match featured Reed, Cedric Alexander, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, Kit Wilson, Elton Prince, Cameron Grimes, Veer, Sanga, Julius Creed, Brutus Creed, Ivar, Akira Tozawa, Otis, JD McDonagh, Apollo Crews, Ricochet, Chad Gable, Shinsuke Nakamura, Omos, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Jinder Mahal, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz del Toro.

The final four came down to Reed, Ivar, Otis, and Tozawa. Otis was the first of the four to be tossed out by Ivar followed by Tozawa who crashed hard on the floor after Ivar tossed him over Otis’ head. Reed hit a Rolling Thunder to Ivar and followed it with a clothesline sending Ivar over the top rope to eliminate him and win the match.

This was Reed’s first ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal victory.

Dragon Lee Suffered “Injury” & Andrade Replaces Lee for LWO’s Match at WrestleMania 40.

Friday’s SmackDown show also featured one new updated match for the card of Night 1 of WrestleMania 40, which takes place this Saturday at the Lincoln Financial Field.

This newly updated match is LWO (Rey Mysterio & Andrade) vs. Santos Escobar & Dominik Mysterio.

During the show, Dragon Lee was seen on the ground clutching his arm while Carlito was tending to him. Rey Mysterio, Zelina Vega, and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis went up to Carlito asking what happened and Carlito responded stating that someone had attacked Lee.

Prior to the start of Vega’s match with Elektra Lopez, Dominik Mysterio and Andrade came out alongside Legado Del Fantasma. Following Lopez’s victory over Vega, Dominik and Escobar attacked Rey while Andrade looked on. After some more attacks, Andrade turned on Dominik and attacked him and Escobar and cleared the ring of them. Andrade then walked towards Rey and shook his hands.

In a follow-up backstage segment, Vega, Rey, and Andrade talked about Rey’s upcoming match against Dominik & Escobar at WrestleMania 40. Andrade stated that he is willing to be Rey’s new tag team partner due to Lee being out injured, which Rey agreed. It was announced later in the show that this change was made official for the LWO’s match at WrestleMania 40.
