Seth Rollins States He’s at Full Strength from Knee Injury for WrestleMania 40

As noted before, Seth Rollins had been out of action for WWE from this past January to this past February due to a knee injury and was medically cleared for an in-ring return this past March. This past Monday’s RAW show in Brookyln, New York was Rollins’ first televised match since his injury.

Sports Illustrated held a recent interview with Seth Rollins. One of the topics discussed included Rollins’ gave his thoughts about his recent injury and revealed that he is full strength for this weekend’s WrestleMania 40 event in Philadelphia.

“It was not as serious as it could have been. My biggest fear when I felt my knee go in the direction it wasn’t supposed to go was that it was going to be a repeat of 2015 [when he tore the ACL, MCL, and medial meniscus in his knee during a match]. I’d have had to vacate the title, miss WrestleMania, all the hard work from the past few years was going up in smoke, and I’d have to start all over. That wasn’t the case. I was able to continue to work on the injury, continue to tell stories and continue to build rivalries. I always looked at it from a glass half full situation.

The fact that we missed out on a few Seth Rollins matches on Raw breaks my heart as much as it does yours, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s all working out in the way it was intended to. I’m happy at full strength and ready to go for not one but two nights of WrestleMania.”

Roman Reigns Comments on His Current Battle with Leukemia

This past Sunday’s WWE Legends: Biography episode based on Roman Reigns featured Reigns providing an update on his current battle with leukemia. Reigns publicly revealed in October of 2018 that he has been battling leukemia since 2007 and took a break from WWE and wrestling until his return in February of 2019 announcing that his leukemia was in remission again.

“I think adversity is a constant reminder of what the world is and what life is, and it’s not fair. I think it’s a form of resistance training that we have to go through to strengthen ourselves. So I think adversity is a key ingredient to any success story. For leukemia, if you caught it an early enough stage like I did, you’re able to take, essentially, a medication, a very potent medication that I’m still on to this day, but it’s pretty much just a conditioning of getting your body used to these toxic medications and just hoping for the best.”
