Toni Storm Makes Surprise Appearance at Stardom’s American Dream Event

Thursday’s American Dream event for Stardom at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania featured former Stardom and current AEW talent Toni Storm making a surprise appearance.

Following Momo Kohgo, Mayu Iwatani, & Tam Nakano victory over Mariah May, Mina Shirakawa, & Xia Brookside in a Six-Women match, Storm made a surprise appearance and came out to the ring. Storm gave a promo praising Stardom for the opportunity they gave for her career and gave May a bouquet of flowers after stating how proud she was of her.

Storm then directed her attention towards Shirakawa and brought up how May won’t be losing with her unlike she did with her old tag partner and stated that the “forbidden door is always open” for her.

This was Storm’s first appearance in Stardom since July of 2019.


Mercedes Martinez & “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert Announced for Indie Hall of Fame 2024 Class

Game Changer Wrestling recently announced that Mercedes Martinez and “Hot Sauce” Eddie Gilbert are the next official inductees for this year’s class of their Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame.

It was also announced that Lexie Fyre will be inductor for Martinez.

Martinez and Gilbert joins Sabu, Steve Corino, Trent Acid, The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe), and Kevin Hogan as the currently announced members for this year’s Indie Wrestling Hall of Fame class.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling recently announced that they have pulled Nao Kakuta from their upcoming events in Philadelphia due to her currently dealing with an illness.

Max The Impalier announced that they have pulled out of their scheduled bookings for Game Changer Wrestling and TJPW this week in Philadelphia due to contracting COVID-19. Max statedMAX IS UNABLE TO ATTEND SCHEDULED SHOWS DUE TO COVID. MAX IS VERY SAD AND APOLOGETIC TO THE TJPW FANS AND EFFY. MAX HAS BEEN PRETTY HEALTHY AND CAUTIOUS. Matt Cardona filed a trademark for “Self Made Superstar” on April 1st for merchandise-related purposes to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the reason for Gisele Shaw’s current absence from TNA Wrestling is due to her dealing with an undisclosed injury she suffered at this past March’s Sacrifice 2024 event. Johnson reported that TNA officials currently expect Shaw to return to action soon.

The National Wrestling Alliance recently confirmed the rumors and reports about their 76th Anniversary Event will be taking place on August 31st at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Major League Wrestling recently announced that Ultimo Guerrero will be making an appearance for the company at their Azteca Lucha event on May 11th in Chicago, Illinois.

WrestleCon recently announced that Deonna Purrazzo will be making an appearance for the company at their WrestleCon 2024 event on April 4-7 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

As noted before, indie wrestler Leyton Buzzard suffered a dislocated knee injury at Revolution Pro Wrestling’s Revolution Rumble 2024 event this past Sunday in Bethnal Green, England. Buzzard recently provided an update on Twitter stating that he will be undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL and MCL and is currently expected to be out of action for the next nine to twelve months.

Evil Uno recently announced that Jordynne Grace will be making an appearance at his upcoming Mystery Vortex 8 event on May 12th in Gatineau, Canada.

New Japan Pro Wrestling recently released a new House of Torture themed shirt for “Scapegoat” Jack Perry containing his infamous “Cry Me A River” phrase that was directed at CM Punk at AEW’s All In event this past August.

Joey Janela recently announced one new match for the card of Game Changer Wrestling’s Joey Janela’s Spring Break 8 event on April 5th in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania:
