Jon Moxley & Tetsuya Naito Agree to IWGP World Title Match at NJPW Windy City Riot 2024
Saturday’s Sakura Genesis 2024 event for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Tokyo, Japan featured one new updated match announced for the card of Windy City Riot 2024, which takes place on April 12th in Chicago, Illinois.
This new updated match was an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match of Jon Moxley vs. Tetsuya Naito.
This match was setup following Naito defeating Yota Tsuji to retain his IWGP World Heavyweight title. During Naito’s post-match victory celebration, Moxley came out to interrupt. This led to Naito offering to put his IWGP World Heavyweight title on the line for their upcoming match at Windy City Riot 2024. Moxley responded agreeing to the offer making the match official for the show.

YOH Suffers Shoulder Injury at NJPW Sakura Genesis 2024
Saturday’s NJPW Sakura Genesis 2024 event in Tokyo, Japan also featured YOH suffering a dislocated shoulder injury.
YOH suffered the injury very early into his match against SHO for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. YOH was seen clutching his arm in pain and after being checked upon by the referee, the match was called off due to YOH being unable to continue.
Following some medical treatment, YOH was able to walk to the back albeit in serious pain.

Bryan Danielson Defeats Blue Panther at Saturday’s CMLL Event, Blue Panther Issues Challenge for Rematch
Saturday’s Viernes Espectacular event for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre featured Bryan Danielson defeating Blue Panther in a first ever singles match between the two in their careers.

Following the match, Blue Panther issued a challenge to Danielson for a rematch in the future, which Danielson agreed. Danielson stated that Blue Panther was his idol and thanked him for the match and bowed to him in a sign of respect. Blue Panther responded by putting Danielson on his shoulder and the two celebrated their match and Danielson’s victory.
