Laredo Kid Wins Digital Media Title at TNA Rebellion 2024

Saturday’s Rebellion 2024 event for TNA Wrestling in Las Vegas, Nevada featured one new championship changing hands.

This was Laredo Kid defeating Crazzy Steve to become the new TNA Digital Media Championship on the Countdown to Rebellion pre-show.

This was Laredo Kid’s first ever championship victory of his TNA/Impact career.


TNA Slammiversary 2024 Announced for This July in Montreal

Saturday’s TNA Rebellion 2024 event also featured the official announcement of this year’s TNA Slammiversary event will be taking place on July 20th at the Verdun Auditorium in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.


Mike Santana Makes Surprise TNA Return at Rebellion 2024

Saturday’s TNA Rebellion 2024 event also featured former AEW talent Mike Santana making his surprise return to TNA Wrestling.

During the show, Steve Maclin came out in his wrestling gear and with a contract in his hand that he stated he got every demand he wanted except for one, which he revealed to be a match on tonight’s show.

This led to TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella coming out and stated that he had signed a brand new talent for TNA who is eager to get started and will make his official debut right now against Maclin. This was revealed to be Santana making his surprise return to the company.

In the follow-up match, Santana defeated Maclin after hitting the Spin The Block for the pinfall victory.

This was Santana’s first appearance in TNA since August of 2019.


Sami Callihan Makes Surprise TNA Return at Rebellion 2024

Saturday’s TNA Rebellion 2024 event also featured former TNA/Impact Sami Callihan making his surprise return to the company.

During the TNA Knockouts World Championship match between Steph De Lander and champion Jordynne Grace, The Good Hands interferered in the match on behalf of Der Lander leading to PCO running out to save Grace and brawling with The Good Hands. This led to Kon running out afterwards and brawled with PCO that turned into a bigger brawl involving Grace, the Good Hands, and De Lander. As Kon was preparing to do his neck snap attack to Grace, the lights went out and when they came back on, Callihan appeared in the ring and attacked The Good Hands and Kon. Callihan then went to grab De Lander on the outside and tossed her back into the ring for Grace to hit her Juggernaut Driver for the pinfall victory to retain her TNA Knockouts World title.

This was Callihan’s first appearance in TNA since September of 2023.


“Broken” Matt Hardy Makes Surprise TNA Return at Rebellion 2024

Saturday’s TNA Rebellion 2024 event also featured “Broken” Matt Hardy making his official return to TNA Wrestling.

Following Moose’s victory over Nic Nemeth to retain the TNA World Championship, The System came out to the stage and celebrated their fellow member Moose’s victory. The big video screen started to glitch and played a “Lights Out” teaser video that was first aired at TNA’s press conference earlier in the week. The lights then went out and Hardy’s “Broken” character laugh was heard. When the lights came back on, Hardy was in the ring and laid out Moose with a Twist of Fate and motioned “Delete” to the rest of The System looking on from the stage.

This was Hardy’s first appearance in TNA/Impact since February of 2017.
