More on AEW Dynamite Viewership for April 10th
The April 10th episode of AEW Dynamite saw AEW gain a large increase in overall viewership and key demographic ratings.
AEW drew 819,000 viewers and a 0.30 key demographic rating on TBS. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was 3rd place.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the main reasons for AEW’s increases this week was due to the large gains from their younger key demographic viewership, older male key demographic viewership, and older female key demographic viewership groups, which were up 64.8%, 11%, and 25.5% respectively compared to last week’s show. Another reason reportedly was due to interest over AEW’s airing footage of the Jack Perry & CM Punk backstage altercation at this past August’s All In event. Meltzer reported that AEW’s lead-in programming Big Bang Theory drew a higher than usual 1,115,000 viewers and a 0.24 key demographic rating.
In terms of notable head-to-head competition, the NBA game of Dallas Mavericks vs. Miami Heat drew 1,233,000 viewers on ESPN, the NHL game of Las Vegas Golden Knights vs. Edmonton Oilers drew 211,000 viewers on TNT, the MLB game of Baltimore Orioles vs. Boston Red Sox drew 626,000 viewers on MLB TV, Survivor drew 4,636,000 viewers on CBS, My 600-LB Life drew 435,000 viewers on TLC, House Hunters Repack drew 734,000 viewers on Home & Garden TV, and Top Chef drew 516,000 viewers on BRAVO.
In terms of key demographic viewership, AEW had 400,000 viewers. AEW’s Males 18-34 was 85,000 viewers (up 46.6%), Females 18-34 was 65,000 viewers (up 97%), Males 35-49 was 181,000 viewers (up 11%), and Females 35-49 was 69,000 viewers (up 25.5%). Meltzer reported that AEW’s male/female viewership split was 266,000 male viewers and 134,000 female viewers for a split of 65.5% in favor of males.
In terms of the one million viewership milestone, none of AEW’s eight quarters drew one million or more viewers. AEW’s peak quarter hour viewership was at 981,000 viewers for their first quarter while their quarter low was at 723,000 viewers for their eighth quarter.
In terms of yearly comparisons, AEW was down 5.4% in overall viewership but up 9.6% in key demographic viewership. Meltzer reported that AEW’s 18-34 viewership was down 14.3% compared to the same week last year.

More on AEW Rampage Viewership for April 5th
The April 5th episode of AEW Rampage saw AEW suffer a very large decline in overall viewership and a large decline in key demographic ratings and key demographic rankings.
AEW drew 267,000 viewers and a 0.08 key demographic rating on TBS. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was 35th place.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the reason for AEW’s declines that week was due a combination of very stiff sports competition that night from the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament and also from WWE’s 2024 Hall of Fame ceremony and ROH’s Supercard of Honor 2024 event. Another reason reportedly was due to the large decline in their key demographic viewership group, which was down 32.9% compared to the prior week’s show. Meltzer reported that AEW’s overall viewership was the lowest for a regular Rampage show in Rampage series history.
In terms of notable head-to-head competition, the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament game of Iowa vs. UConn drew 13,911,000 viewers on ESPN, the NBA game of Minnesota Timberwolevs vs. Phoenix Suns drew 285,000 viewers on NBA TV, On Patrol Live drew 752,000 viewers on REELZ Channel, 90 Day Fiance First Look drew 379,000 viewers on TLC, and House Hunters drew 664,000 viewers on Home & Garden TV.
In terms of key demographic viewership, AEW had 100,000 viewers. AEW’s Males 18-34 was 13,000 viewers, Females 18-34 was 15,000 viewers, Males 35-49 was 47,000 viewers, and Females 35-49 was 25,000 viewers. Meltzer reported that AEW’s male/female viewership split was 60,000 male viewers and 40,000 female viewers for a split of 60% in favor of males.
In terms of yearly comparisons, AEW was down 46.9% in overall viewership and down 53.9% in key demographic viewership.

The April 6th episode of AEW Collision saw AEW gain a small increase in key demographic ratings and key demographic rankings and a slight increase in overall viewership. That week’s show was notable for airing at a later than usual 11:30PM EST start time due to TNT’s 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament commitments that night.
AEW drew 463,000 viewers and a 0.15 key demographic rating on TNT. AEW’s key demographic ranking for that night was 21st place.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the main reasons for AEW’s increases that week was due to a combination of a very strong lead-in viewership from the 2024 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament game of UConn vs. Alabama and post-show coverage, which drew 6,391,000 viewers and 2,120,000 viewers respectively. This reportedly offset the very late start time for the show and the first-to-second hour viewership drop of 76%.
In terms of notable head-to-head competition, Impractical Jokers drew 719,000 viewers on TBS and On Patrol Live drew 692,000 viewers on REELZ Channel.
In terms of key demographic viewership, AEW had 204,000 viewers. AEW’s Males 18-34 had 41,000 viewers, Females 18-34 had 23,000 viewers, Males 35-49 had 86,000 viewers, and Females 35-49 had 54,000 viewers (down 66.7%). Meltzer reported that AEW’s male/female viewership split was 127,000 male viewers and 77,000 female viewers for a split of 62.3% in favor of males.
