Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite show featured Chuck Taylor making his decision over which side to chose in the Best Friends split and finally getting to achieve his AEW career goal of saying “shit” on live television.

During the show, Trent Beretta tossed Orange Cassidy out to the stage and continued his attack on Cassidy sending him into the ring.

Beretta grabbed a microphone and called out Taylor to come to the ring and answer his ultimatum, which Taylor did coming out from the crowd. Beretta told Taylor that he apologizes for not doing this sooner to Cassidy and claimed they spent the past five years hugging a narcissistic prick. Beretta stated that Cassidy was supposed to just be their mascot but instead they ended up being his lackeys. Beretta claimed that Cassidy does not care about Taylor and Cassidy is not his friend because he is and he cares about Taylor. Beretta then asked Taylor to give the people what they want and asked for a hug. Taylor hesitated at first and teased a potential hug only to tell Beretta that he always knew Beretta was a “piece of shit” and attacked him with the microphone. This led to Beretta quickly escaping the ring and Taylor stating that the doctors won’t clear him for the ring so he challenges Beretta to a fight in the parking lot. Beretta left through the crowd while Taylor checked on Cassidy in the ring.

Big Bill Offers to Join Chris Jericho’s Learning Tree at Wednesday’s Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured Big Bill offering to join Chris Jericho’s new The Learning Tree Group.

During the show, Jericho came out to the ring wearing his newly won FTW Championship belt. Jericho boasted about his title victory over HOOK at AEW Dynasty and proclaimed that the FTW will now stand for “For The World” as this title is now all about the people. After some more delusional boasting claiming he is doing “God’s work” who he stated is the god of pro wrestling Terry Funk, Jericho stated that HOOK needs to cut the dead weight around him like Taz and Shibata and needs to listen to Jericho. After some more words, Jericho claimed that HOOK is sitting at home thinking about the lessons he gave and that is good.

Jericho stated that there are so many people that came out better from the lessons of his Learning Tree but before he could continue, Big Bill’s music interrupted and he made his way to the ring. Big Bill stated that he has been listening to Jericho in the back and after some more words, he stated that he needs the guidance of the Learning Tree. After some more words of praise to Jericho by Bill, Jericho responded stating that he knows Bill is the best for the Learning Tree and he is going to keep his eye on him. Bill and Jericho then had a bit of an awkward back-and-forth over Bill responding telling the Learning Tree to watch him and Jericho responding back saying he will.

Jack Perry & The Elite Attack Tony Khan at Wednesday’s Dynamite Show

Wednesday’s Dynamite show also featured Jack Perry and The Elite attacking AEW CEO Tony Khan.

Earlier in the show, The Elite and Perry went into Khan’s office backstage. In a follow-up segment, Perry revealed that he will be having a face-to-face meeting with Khan in the ring later in the show.

During the show’s main event, AEW commentator and interviewer Tony Schiavone welcomed Perry to the ring. Perry grabbed a microphone and stated that he had some of the best moments of his life right here in Jacksonville but he has some business to handle right now. Perry called out Khan to come to the ring, which Khan did.

Perry talked about AEW’s growth over the past few years and how they might not have seen eye to eye but from the bottom of his heart, he wants Khan to know he only had AEW’s best interest in mind. Perry then asked Khan to reinstate him back in AEW and to shake his hand so that they can move on and change the world together. A happy Khan shook Perry’s hand and then the two hugged while Perry gave a smirk to the camera. Perry then proceeded to raise Khan’s hand only to lay him out with a punch. This led to The Elite coming out and and shoved Perry away to check on Khan. The Young Bucks picked up Khan in the same setup as an EVP Trigger before letting him go. The Young Bucks looked at Kachuika Okada who gave the thumbs up leading to the Young Bucks hitting the Tony Khan Driver laying out Khan in the ring. This led to AEW officials rushing to the ring to check on Khan and get The Elite and Perry away from him. As they left, the Young Bucks mockingly thanked the crowd for being here for tonight’s show. Afterwards, the AEW locker room rushed out to check on Khan while Khan’s father Shahid came out with a shocked look over what had just happened to his son.
