Anthony Henry, Jose The Assistant, & Slim J Comments on Their Releases from AEW
As noted before, AEW released ten talents on Monday that was notable for being the first wave of talent releases in company history. Among those released included Anthony Henry, Jose The Assistant, and Slim J.
Henry reflected on Twitter about his release stating that he was devsitated by the news and is currently unsure about the future of his wrestling career. Henry is currently out of action due to a fractured jaw injury he suffered at an event for Deadlock Pro Wrestling this past March.
The amount of support I am receiving during this very difficult time is amazing, and I appreciate all of it.

I don't know what is next for me. I don't know if wrestling is something I still want to pursue. I am devastated.
Regarsless, I am always a #workhorsemen
Slim J also reflected on Twitter about his release stating that he was grateful for the opportunity to work in AEW even if he agreed with fans that his gimmick was “trash” but his work for the company was not.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to have worked for AEW. Unfortunately yesterday was no April fools joke. I appreciate @AriyaDaivari for always bringing my name up and believing in me. @CapriceColeman you always put me over. As did @WilliamBehrens Thank you

Skye Blue Comments on Her Current Heel Character & Work in AEW
A recent episode of the Kicking Out Podcast featured Skye Blue as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Blue’s thoughts about her current heel character and work in AEW.
“Yeah. It’s really been… I have never been a heel in my entire career until now and I feel very comfortable. I feel like myself and… I like it because I’m also still learning. Like, I’m learning how to portray the character better. You know what i mean? Like, I feel like I’m always learning and I’m surrounded by, like, such great people at AEW to learn from. So I just, like, feel super comfortable being able to try things and, like, get feedback and learn and keep growing. I feel like every time you’re with somebody different, whether you’re with somebody new in the ring or you just work with different people who are trained differently, you learn how each person… because, there are so many ways to do what we do, and it’s very cool to take from every little bit that you can.”
